I watched Idol religiously (pardon the pun) until this year. Just couldn’t get into it. Part of it was the new judge, another part was the inside view I got from a girl I know that auditioned.
If Kris gets the boot this week, his votes will go to Gokey.
I'll never buy his CD. Too much of a "crying baby" style, with a little broadway torch singer sprinkled in. I'm fairly certain I'll buy an Allison Iraheta CD some day though. BTW, I own a Clay Aiken CD, so being a homo isn't the problem with Adam for me.
It doesn’t really matter who wins as all the top three have great careers ahead of them. In the recent past some of the runners up are doing four times the success as the actual winners. Carry underwood being the exception. She is doing about the best of any of the past winners. If Adam loses do you have any doubt that he will go on to a brilliant career? I don’t.
I just roll my eyes at this crap anymore. The whiners have cried "wolf" too many times.
Adam is a screamer, and anyone who thinks he’s a better singer than Carrie Underwood is nuts.
This is exactly the reason I think Adam gets the boot tomorrow night. I think his audience has maxed out and with fewer contestants to split the votes, Adam should be out.
More Christian bashing. With no proof, just speculation, he pronounces that if one particular contestant is eliminated, it will be those evil Christians, a group who are not only terrible people, but also have no ear for music. Try replacing ‘Christian’ with ‘homosexual’, ‘Muslim’, or ‘African American’.
Reason #539 why the media pushing this as something we should actually CARE ABOUT is only dragging America’s culture down.
There couldn't be any bias in this story: Ramin Setoodeh reads like an Iranian name.
What a bunch of hogwash. If Christians were of such influence on the outcome and were out to get this kid how would it be possible that he is in the semi-finals?
It is the same crap from the hate America crowd...if Obama looses its because America is racist...if Lambert loses its because America is homophobic...etc. It couldn’t possibly be anything else.
Christian viewers have made “Dancing with the Stars” a huge hit? My good, Christian wife has banned me from watching that show because of the revealing costumes the women are wearing.
Didn’t Newsweek once consider itself a news magazine?
Christians dominate in ‘American Idol’
2 of 3 top finalists tonight are worship leaders in their churches

Newsweek is the anti-Christ of news mags.
Adam sounds like any number of lead singers from 80s hair bands. He has that requisite 80’s scream down pat. When he sang “Whole Lotta Love” last week, it sounded just like my ex-boyfriend’s old band.
As usual, Newspeak has it wrong.
I think the largest faction of idol watchers that may NOT vote for Mr. Lambert in the final 3 and/or final two toss-up are not upset or distracted by his supposed sexuality, whatever it is.
I think they agree with me.
My issue with him is that while I recognize his abundant singing talent, I also sense another abundant talent he seems to demonstrate - an acting talent and the use of it in the creation, the manufacture of a persona.
To me there is a great deal about Mr. Lambert that is more like a member of the rock group Kiss, than the very personal individual on the order of an Elvis;
and that type of pure stage-persona - as opposed to bringing forth one’s inner self - seems allot more a part of him than all the other current contestants and all the previous Idol winners.
I think he has abundant talent. I just don’t like the feeling that what he is presenting is much more manufactured, and artificial and less of some real Adam Lambert - whoever that is.
If one watches a Susan Boyle video clip on YouTube and then an Idol clip of Adam Lambert, I think what I am trying to say becomes obvious.
Don’t forget the amazing Mandissa!
I think Adam is technically better and very talented, but I just darn LIKE Kris. OK, fine, I have a cougar-crush on him. But he’s my favorite. Danny’s my second. Funny thing about Danny - I’m always sort of thinking I’m not going to like him as he begins his song, then get my mind changed 10 seconds in.
And I’m proud that he and Danny are Christians. I look forward to their future CDs.
