Apparently some of the folks on Army bases are being required to give a full accounting of all privately owned firearms to the military superiors. Further, they are told that they must report any future private acquisitions. It sounds like Obama is forcing a form of gun registration on military members under his control. The very people who are also best trained to use those weapons.

There is nothing to say that any soldier cannot place ‘official’ ownership into the hands of another family member and then slash off a big ol’ “N/A” on that form, which is questionable from a Constitutional standpoint as it clearly infringes upon the Second Amendment (not that 0bama and the rest of his Communist sockcockers have ever been troubled by THAT).

Memo was recinded. Supposedly the Company CO who issued it, Exceeded his authority. Gee, yah think?

Privately owned weapons must be registered with the Provost Marshal, but only if they are to be brought onto the post. Someone living off post need not register their privately owned weapons with the Army, unless they want to take them on post, say to shoot a round of trap/skeet, or to hunt, since hunting is allowed on many posts.
