My 8th grade journalism teacher would have admonished me severly if I had constructed such a messy prose. It’s truly indicative of her level of education and/or aptitude and thought process.
Of course, the best ‘tell’ is when the angry lib goes for the ‘’Rush is (just) an entertainer’’ line. They think the bit o’ candy corn will somehow help to diminish him. Why? Because he is a persuasive OPINION LEADER and EDUCATOR.
Yet, Joan is neither entertaining nor educating; she is a self-described un-paid, ‘Pundit’ - and very likely unpaid for a very long time.
...as for Wanda Sykes? She’s a D-grade guest-shot-quality sitcom talent who can’t even attain the ‘’it’s funny ‘cuz it’s true’’ level.

Actually, the cases she cites are examples of “court jester” humour. The jester must mock the king and the king must think the jester mocks himself. The dominant media/entertainment complex(the king) has no sense of humility which is why they think the mockery has only one layer as does their own. It is the difference between satire and adolescent humour.
Liberal humour directly targets its victim and thus is not layered or nuanced enough to be funny. Tho it does evoke a primitive type of laugh sometimes, it is simply too pointedly mean to provoke anything more lasting than a brief guffaw. As Rush says, “demonstrating the absurd by being absurd.” It is ironic that liberals have no highly developed sense of this. They are tiresome prudes about their pet beliefs.
Do you remember how sad the press was when Cheney missed being asssassinated in Afghanistan? And how eager they were for his heart to fail everytime he was hospitalized?
If anyone even speculated anything about wishing obamas health would fail, they’d probably get a visit by the SS. But “clark griswold” Biden seems to be fair game.
All very true points as to the facts/opionions gleaned and the audience they can be directed to.
I often hear people say “we need to be more like them” and nothing offends me more than the concept of that. Of course, these are the same people that said there was no difference between the USSR and the USA. And those are the ones on the other side who didn’t know the facts.
The ones who DID know the facts thought the USSR was preferable. People like Obama and his ilk.
You're right. What we need is to remain ourselves.. unabashedly. Just watched Liz Cheney on Morning Joe - she was the most honest and forthright person that has ever been on the show. She made no excuses for any part of the war in Iraq. Just becuase it didn't go like a movie from Hollywood, doesn't mean what was done was 'wrong'. Dick and Lynne must be proud of her.

Wanda “Sick” is currently on the show “New Adventures of Old Christine” on CBS and is supposed to get a talk show on Fox.
I’ll be happy to make a list of advertisers on “Christine” when it’s season finale airs tonight (that’ll be a first - fast-forward through the show and watch the commercials) and post here when I can.
I wonder if Fox is reconsidering their agreement for her late night show.
