The Boston-area transit authority trolley driver who allegedly slammed into another train while text-messaging his girlfriend Friday was hired as a minority because of his transgendered "female-to-male" status and had three speeding tickets on his driving record in recent years, ABC News has learned.

So this was an ultimate “affirmative action” hire - someone who should not have been hired regardless of their “gender status... but add too that the fact that this “person” was an abhorrent deviant freak-show just adds to the “character” of this case.
And anyone in it’s position who is texting while working should be jobless.
Belongs in a sideshow, not operating public transportation.
That person has not come forward. Maybe she got the big surprise when she saw it on the news.

We have had several of these types of accidents in recent years. Common thread in all of them is not paying attention to what they are being paid to do.
I don’t see what the absense of her breasts or testosterone injections had to do with causing this? Seems like an excuse to either sell newspapers or to avoid doing anything that might actually fix the problem.
The accident last year was also an Affirmative Action hire who was moved up to driver in an accelerated fashion.
Then a better headline would be
Are we compromising public safety by promoting/hiring based on quotas rather than ability?
