The New York Daily News reports that Meghan McCain daughter of Sen. John McCain, threw a tizzy at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday.
She apparently lost it when she tried to get into the gala with only two tickets - and she had two friends with her.
The security guard sent her to talk to someone to sort out the situation, but Meghan got bratty and nastily told him, Well just stand here then, like an insolent child, a source told the paper.
After dealing with the guard, she allegedly "muttered to her friends, Does he even know who the (f-word) I am?
Apparently it didn't get any better once she got in. McCain was complaining about everything from the air-conditioning to the wait, the source said. And she really didn't like Wanda Sykes roast.
I didnt like the joke about my mom (Cindy), she told the paper after the dinner.
Sen. McCain gave you grief about the new helicopters you didnt order, Sykes joked in her speech, adding I think Mr. McCain was a little bitter because he wanted to be in the new helicopters. Mr. McCain, Im sure if you ask nicely, your wife will buy you a new helicopter.
Meghan didn't laugh.

Meghan is the Paris Hilton of politics.
That’s an insult to Paris Hilton.
This attention whore is going to totally melt down if her parents don’t give her the hook.
She is headed to be out of control like the entertainment trash freaks she is trying to impress with her Britany bad girl street cred. When flashing her boobs and tossing celebrity fits does not get enough attention, she’ll be intoxicated and flashing her other end for the cameras.
She ate the shark first.
MM, your 15 minutes ran out last fall - go away, brat.
Meghan sweetheart they sent both tickets for you only. You know like on airplanes. :)
The only difference being that I think Hilton actually voted for John McCain and I'm not convinced Megan "Obama is dreamy" did.
Chelsea, the Bush girls, Jimmy Carter's kid.... none of them tried to get in the limelight by ripping on the politics of their parent's party. A closer analogy might be a couple of Reagan's kids, but (as I recall anyway) at least they didn't try to become celebrities by doing it, like Miss Piggy does.
>>>>> I especially hate the way they end declarative sentences with an upward inflection as though it was a question. <<<<<<<
Yes, that’s another component of this phenomenon. It rilly is^^^^? You know?
I’m curious about it because there seems to be an entire worldview underlying this affectation, and it seems to be a world which is spoiled, bratty, ditzy, self-centered, little-girlish, and (as Meghan well demonstrates) proudly ignorant.
“I have very strong opinions about things I rilly don’t understand?”
Anyway it is very annoying and I’m vaguely curious about why any late-adolescent would adopt it; where they learn it; who do they model; when do you drop it; does anyone comment on it; etc etc.
By her looks, I'm wondering if she ate the shark.
Ignorance.

LOL. You have a way with words Sara.
Shouldn’t she have given her tickets to a couple of poor gay disenfranchised gay people.
Side note to Ms. Sykes - although the less formal “Mr. McCain” is acceptable in some settings, you madam are not his peer - it’s Senator McCain, or CAPT McCain, if you prefer.
Meghan...
1. There’s only one person I know of who could pull off “You know who the hell I am?” without looking petulant...and you are not Evel Knievel.
2. That joke about your mom appears to have been one of the more gentle things that came out of Wanda’s mouth directed at anybody not named Obama.
If you find out, let me know. I have the same opinion that its even a worldview. I also wonder where they learn it.
I have no idea where it started either. I just notice more and more that i seem to encounter it.
What idiot would even give the bitch a ticket?
For now I suppose it must remain a mystery.
But surely DesertRhino and Angkor are not the only people to have noticed it.
