The New York Daily News reports that Meghan McCain daughter of Sen. John McCain, threw a tizzy at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday.
She apparently lost it when she tried to get into the gala with only two tickets - and she had two friends with her.
“The security guard sent her to talk to someone to sort out the situation, but Meghan got bratty and nastily told him, ‘We’ll just stand here then,’ like an insolent child,” a source told the paper.
After dealing with the guard, she allegedly "muttered to her friends, ‘Does he even know who the (f-word) I am?’”
Apparently it didn't get any better once she got in. McCain “was complaining about everything from the air-conditioning to the wait,” the source said. And she really didn't like Wanda Sykes’ roast.
“I didn’t like the joke about my mom (Cindy),” she told the paper after the dinner.
“Sen. McCain gave you grief about the new helicopters you didn’t order,” Sykes joked in her speech, adding “I think Mr. McCain was a little bitter because he wanted to be in the new helicopters. Mr. McCain, I’m sure if you ask nicely, your wife will buy you a new helicopter.”
Meghan didn't laugh.

Life was better back in the olden days, back before I had ever heard of Meghan McCain.
Is there a name for her affected Valley Grrrllll-type speaking style that’s popular among 20-something women where everythingyousayrunstogether in a quasi-breathless little girl sort of way?
It’s hard to describe it in words but Meghan and lots of other younger women use (affect) it, even a few in the media (although it’s probably more likely to be heard on MTV than on CNN).
Anyone know what I’m referring to?

Meghan didn’t seem to mind the abuse heaped on her parents by the shrews on The View.
She played the dreaded “do you know who the {f-—} I am” card. That is usually notice that a celebrity has Jumped the Shark...but, alas, Megan is only a D-list celebrity and she jumped the shark many months ago.
Guess im lost as usual, here in my own little FR world. How is she being packaged? Is she just another politicians kid such as the Bush girls? Chelsea, etc?
Or are they really entertaining/pushing the idea that she should be listened to? In all honesty, for ANYONE her age to be listened to by me, i need some huge reason to think they should be. Its not a default position,,,are they really that deranged?

I know what you are referring to. And i HATE it. I especially hate the way they end declarative sentences with an upward inflection as though it was a question.
And when boys talk that way, i just think they are probably gay.
Also give that security guard a raise (or at least combat pay). He deserves it after dealing with Meghan.
