Why is the media so concerned about the so called decline of conservatives? They should be rejoicing. Or are they concerned because they are just making lies and fabrications about the conservative decline and they know that are writing and speaking BS? I think they are whistling past the graveyard. These bogus stories started after more people began identifying themselves as leaning Republican. Also, they are being fueled by RINOs like McLame and Grahamnesty and Powell who are worried they will get the same "don't let the door hit you on the way out" message that Arlen got.
Probably cognitive dissonance. All of this GOP-is-dead talk started after LBJ's landslide in '64 too. RINOs like John Lindsay and others preached the need to become more moderate in order to win. Of course, we all know what followed after.

They are concerned because if we “go away” there will be no one to blame for their own failures and that people will wake the heck up.
