Too bad Cheney didn't run for President. Win or lose it would've felt more honest.

Limbaugh is “loyal” to his inherent Conservative principles, the GOP has no principles...

What? Colin was just being a good Republican by voting for "The First Black" DEMOCRAT President?

Mr. Cheney agreed that, in light of Mr. Powell's endorsement of Democrat Barack Obama's presidential bid last year, that he no longer can be considered a Republican.

Exactly.

And to those who insist that Fox News is conservative, Newscorp execs endorsed John Kerry in 2004 and Murdoch gave money to Hillary's Senate campaign.

Hard to claim conservative Republican credentials.

"Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Sunday took a shot at former Secretary of State Colin L. Powell"

Oh, come on--you're handing this one to liberal readers who think they're clever.

If Americans had to go on a cruise ship tour with Rush or Madonna who would they chose? I think Madonna, unfortunately. They would rather hear about sexploits rather than exploits; rather see how a dried up, old bitty of a hag is still able to do disco yoga while pretending it’s sex than watch a chubby guy smoke a cigar. What boggles the mind is what liberals think of what conservatives offer to liberals... the liberals think it is baubles, trinkets, Tommy Hilfinger rip offs. There are no conservative rock stars that the liberal see as rock stars... there is just a cruise ship sailing off the edge of the world. The conservative Titanic, the band and Rush played on while Madonna was doing it doggy style on some island with a sailor.

Colin Powell's heart is Democrat. The problem is he has power as a Republican that he would NOT have as a dem. As a Republican he can play the "black" card and pubbies quake and the MSM pulls their pencils and pads out - breathless for every word.

If Powell switched parties he would just be one of many blacks on the dem side - and what he had to say would be worthless.

Why worthless?

If he critized conservatives - it would be "normal" because he would be a dem. If he tried to criticizes Democrats he would quickly discover the MSM doesn't like that - and what he said wouldn't be covered.

In short, he'd be powerless.

I'm enjoying the Obama-era Cheney. I also think W is amused. Cheney's public appearances are always measured and straightforward and just oozing gravitas. He's giving O the opportunity to use him as a foil, and the progressives just don't know what to do with him. He's not in power, nor does he aspire to power, so that puts him outside of the usual "Rules for Radicals" playbook.

And people who have been sold a cartoon version of Cheney are getting the opportunity to hear his side of things, since he is able to draw an audience.

When Powell was at the UN hearings talking about the evidence for WMD, I got a huge feeling he wasn’t on our side.

Any right Powell ever had to influence the GOP ended with his support of Obama. Someone needs to show him where the exit is!
