The ability to post in HTML is helpful. I write most of my web pages directly, so the using HTML daily on FR keeps my skills fresh. My wife and kids play with Facebook and MySpace. I haven't been attracted to those sites. They are easy to use, so I'm spared the need to offer constant technical support while they play. FR has a great breadth of knowledge in the user population.

The only thing I miss in the FR interface is the ability to edit my own posts after spotting a spelling or grammar error. The immutable nature of a post is sometimes frustrating.

You do get a last chance in preview. It’s easy to get overconfident and check the box. If I were king, I would force anything having HTML in it to go through preview.
