"We can no longer afford to spend as if deficits do not matter and waste is not our problem," Mr. Obama said.

...that's why we will gut defense and give billions to ACORN, Gore, Planned whatever, etc. That's why we push the $3.5 trillion budget, while declaring $18 billion or <0.5% "savings".

To paraphrase what Mark Levin said, the democrat party is using taxpayer dollars to boost virtually every single spending program EXCEPT FOR DOD PROGRAMS.

How will America survive without National Security?

Our enemies must be salivating over Obama's plans to GUT our military forces.

If your objective is to give your county over to her enemies, the first thing you want to do is eliminate your military … or, at the least, downsize it to a point of relative non-existence.

This post is for all the liberal/democRAT/socialists out there, and others who have drank the koolaid, and/or voted for 0bama...

Come October 1,2009, if we get hit again, it's 0bama's fault. You idiots asked for it, you got it. Doesn't matter how many Oprahs, Mathews, Kourics, Laurs, etc. are out there. The VAST majority of the American people will blame the 0bama admin, not Bush. You Obermans, Roses, Lettermans, Mahrs, Carviles, etc. can take THAT one to the bank.

I took a quick look at the major breakdowns. The biggest cuts come in R&D, and procurement. Operations and Maintence, along with personnel, actually increase just a little. Probably just a bit more than inflation in the former case, and a bunch less than inflation in the O&M account. Of course that is assuming a modest 4% inflation rate. Budget topline numbers by category:

1. Military Personnel: $ 149.6 billion (4.8% above FY 2009);

2. Operations & Maintenance: $ 275.6 billion (0.7% above FY 2009);

3. Procurement: $ 131.1 billion (1.7% below FY 2009); and

4. Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E): $ 78.9 billion (3.4% below FY 2009).

Some of the cancellations include the F-22, the C-17, the next generation of missile defense, a second airborne laser also missile defense, and the next generation manned bomber. postponement of the start of the next Ford class aircraft carrier by one year, and going to more years per new carrier keel laying. THere's lots more. The cuts, both in defense and otherwise, seem to fall disproportionately on Alaska. Hmm.

Here's the White House report on the cuts

Were out of money already and it is only May. PCS Transfers have been stopped until October (new fiscal year). Funny how they can put this year’s transfers in next years budget when that year’s budget will be chopped up. I don’t know what we will do. Of course this current budget is President Bush’s, but President Obama’s may be even worse.

Given the background of Obama, I am NOT surprised by any of this. I expect far worse in the future.

I also expect that almost the whole country will call for REFORM in 2010 - 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clinton redux........

Claim to make a budget cut, and route that money through another, newly created agency (ACORN) and make it appear like fiscal responsibility has taken place.

Then, don't forget to show regret and give an apology to those hit the hardest; Like our troops who will now have to go back to sharing body armour and rationing ammunition.
