Why is Israel moving so slow on this issue? They could of started this prior to Obama becoming the next POTUS.

I am not familiar with Israeli offensive weaponry, but if they do have the capability of attacking Iran and Syria, they need to do it NOW. I do not see what viable options that Israel has left to them. Either they risk total annihilation or make a preemptive strike. It is a matter of survival.

China, Russia, or North Korea can provide them with this if they haven't already, and perhaps Iran is getting ready to use them very soon needing only to fine tune things, and the reason why Israel is already practicing for a first-strike against Iran, and perhaps Syria as well since Assad says Syria will back Iran if they are attacked.

2/20/09 - The President of Israel announces that Netanyahu will be asked to form a government. Negotiations with other Israeli parties begin.

3/31/09 - Netanyahu wins the vote of confidence in the Knesset and his government finally takes office.

Netanyahu was not Prime Minister until long after Obama took office in the U.S., and has been in office for only 5-6 weeks.
