California voters are standing firm in their opposition to the budget-related propositions on the May 19 ballot, according to the Public Policy Institute of California.
The PPIC's latest poll mirrors previous surveys showing strong resistance to all but Proposition 1F on elected officials' pay raises.
That's even though voters are split on whether the governor and the Legislature should have called the election.
Here are the numbers. The rest told pollsters they haven't made up their minds.
Proposition 1A: 52 percent no, 35 percent yes
Proposition 1B: 47 percent no, 40 percent yes
Proposition 1C: 58 percent no, 32 percent yes
Proposition 1D: 45 percent no, 43 percent yes
Proposition 1E: 48 percent no, 41 percent yes
Proposition 1F: 73 percent yes, 24 percent no
One bright spot in the survey: Even though voters aren't in the mood to trust state government, more than half said things in the country as a whole are going in the right direction.
That's up sharply from January when President Barack Obama took office. Then, only a third of Californians said the country was headed down the right road.

Now we just hope they show up at the polls. We know the teachers and public employees will, but will the average tax payer?
Bright spot? That's the bloody dark side of the moon.
What’s an “AM Alert”?
Whats an AM Alert? The Bee has "Capitol Alerts" throughout the day for CA politics. Their main political story of the morning is called an "AM Alert."
Those are the two so-called "professions" which have prostituted themselves by appearing in California's "YES ON 1A and 1B" television commercials.
I do realize that teachers are safe and smug, although of late even they are realizing that having first pick of available tax revenues is useless if the revenue plummets.
Time to repeal the guaranteed lion's share to education, and time to reconsider allowing "public safety" employees to set for themselves what their services are worth. Eliminate unions, automatic raises, sweetheart retirements that would put the mafia to shame, and do a "Flight Controllers" number on them if necessary.
And Oh, yes...No on 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F!!

Central Valley Tea Party No On 1A-1F Protest
John and Ken said that Arnie guaranteed 95 thousand jobs to the SEIU as part of the budget deal!! So we are supporting cubicle dwellers at the expense of police and fire!
Decertify the SEIU!
