Our IT guy said they are using Vista until Windows 7 is the OS of the day. All new ones are ordered with Vista. When 7 comes out and is stable, all new ones will be ordered with 7, and the Vista ones will be upgraded as needed. The really cool thing is I got 4 GB ram! You can never have enough ram. I got a 2 GB stick for my laptop and what a difference it makes with my music stuff.

When next I have to upgrade my desktop, it is going to have LOTS of ram....maybe 6 GB or 8 GB...LOTS!!

I only spent about an hour playing with it, trying to find my stuff. Sign on, the welcoming screen is 100% different, and you use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the sign in/password screen. Tomorrow morning will be interesting seeing if I remember how to do anything. It took forever to figure out how to turn it off.....there is no button. I had to find the “Help” thingy, which wasn’t easily found either. It told my how to shutdown.

First impression....might be like XP. Looked like tabs. I always have multiple windows open, and I could see thru the top window to the bottom one, at least at the top. Strange.
