“Goyim” means gentile in a derogatory way...
That is common thought, however goyim is a Biblical word. It simply means nations.
Goy = nation, Goyim = nations
There are dozens of references in the Torah that refer to the Jews not being the same as the [other] nations (Goyim).
So, Jews call non-Jews “nations” or goyim.
I can think of nothing derogatory about it unless there is a non-Jew who does not want to be referred to as being not Jewish.
