Nobody has ever seen it. Not the Governor. Not the Director of Health. Not the State Registrar.
The only thing publicly stated by Hawaii was the one issued by Health Director Chyiome Fukino, that there exists in Hawaii's filing system, a record -- which could either be a computer record or a paper record -- indicating that Hawaii has Obama's original birth certificate.
Whether or not there actually exists a physical, authentic, original birth certificate for Obama has never been validated. There could easily be an empty envelope or file folder sitting in a vault in the DOH's basement, with the label reading ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR [BARACK/BARRY] [SOETORO/OBAMA]
This is the official State of Hawaii comment from state health director Dr. Chiyome Fukino:
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”
There is nothing there that states the birth certificate Hawaii holds was issued by Hawaii; there is nothing there that states the State of Hawaii holds AKA’s “Hawaii birth certificate.”
It is very obvious, in reading the statement of the Director of Health, that this statement was very carefully worded, which leaves the inquiring mind asking why.
