It's called the MONTANA FIREARMS FREEDOM ACT.
There are grand total of 2, just TWO articles on this in a Google News Search, one of those is a blogs, and the other is a local Montana TV story about Soviergnty bills, and not the gun bill! http://news.google.com/news/more?um=1&ned=us&cf=all&ncl=1346554341
TO THE MODERATOR: An EXTENSIVE Google search for ANYTHING resembling a mainstream article on this shows that none exist, but thier are HUNDREDS of discussions and blog articles about it! THIS SHOULD BE BREAKING NEWS.
The "Powers That Be" are determined to bury this one, and keep it quiet. And I think we ALL know why!
Texas is working on a very similar bill right now.
Watch the libs and MSM, send some idiot over state lines, into Montana to instigate some (what they consider) newsworthy disgruntle individual attack. Create a Virginia Tech or Columbine in Montana.
Might have to make Montana a future destination if Obama screws this country up more than he already has (and we all know he will).
ping
Only one thing to say about that: Rock on Texas!
“Might have to make Montana a future destination if Obama screws this country up more than he already has (and we all know he will).”
I’d retire to Montana if it weren’t so darn cold!
Haven’t Texas and Oklahoma suceeded as well?
Like,
May the Force be with you Dude
Seriously, I applaud any attempt to get
information out to the public.
“Our” MSM sure doesn’t try so it’s kinda
up to us little guys to inform.
Hurrah for Texas.
This is why America is GREAT.
...Bravo to the governor and the state legislature...
What firearms are manufactured inside the State of Montana ?
Not to pee on your parade, but Gonzales v. Raich will likely be the precedent the government uses to kill this idea ....
And here I am stuck in Florida with a governor that makes Michelle jealous...
Silencers work best with a bolt-action rifle. There is a long barrel and the chamber is closed tight so as to direct all the gases though the silencer at the tip of the barrel. Semi-auto pistols and revolvers do not really muffle the sound very well except on the silver screen. The revolvers bleed gas out with the sound all over the place. The semi-auto pistols bleed the gases out when the slide recoils back.
If this stands, it will only apply to MT manufactured firearms and for their citizens only. Of course, it may be an incentive for more firms to take up manufacturing in MT. The best hope is that other states will follow.
This sounds a little beyond the courtroom dance...
Or does he need to cast/forge/mill/whatever the frame and stamp his own name on it...
???
