Don’t count on it. He actually did increase his chances of being reelected unless a strong Democrat challenges him, and I am not sure that is likely. Sadly, in a general election he’s likely to win. Our best hope was to beat him in the primary.

There may be 300,000 Republicans who will switch parties to save Specter once again. People in PA love him.

If so lets hope that he chooses the Lieberman route and runs as an independent.

Running as an Indy he would split the DemonRat vote between him and the Rat nominee. I don't believe that many state Republicans would vote for him.

If the Rat vote is split the Republican candidate has an excellent chance of election, IMHO.

I am still a Hillary Democrat. I didn’t change back. Can’t wait to see who I will be voting ‘for’ in the primary.
