There may be 300,000 Republicans who will switch parties to save Specter once again. People in PA love him.

I do not hail from PA. If he’s that important to them then so be it.

I don’t really care, but your numbers don’t add up. If 300,000 Republicans are needed to save Spector’s behind in a Democratic primary, it would seem that the Democrats don’t like him. And since he left the Republican Party because he was behind over 20%, it would seem that the Republicans don’t like him either. That leaves the Independents, Communists, and the like who are hardly likely to be a significant portion of the electorate. So, it seems highly unlikely that he would need any Republican votes if “People in PA love him.”

I don't believe your view is correct.

Specter was tolerated by the Republicans here in Pa. and we certainly never "loved" him. Now that he's a Rat that tolerance is gone.

Being the astute politician he is he was well aware of that fact, prompting him to switch parties.

He may get beat in the Rat primary prompting him to run as an independent. That IMHO would be the best thing that could happen as I stated in post# 111.
