SALT LAKE CITY - (ABC 4 News) - There is one republican presidential candidate that President Barack Obama's campaign manager fears the most in 2012...and his name is Jon Huntsman Jr.
This week for Governor Huntsman, good things are coming in threes.
Not just the fear from the Obama campaign, but also an important phone call and a weekend spent testing the waters in a key primary state.
While no republican presidential candidate yet makes Obama's team "shake in {their} shoes...," President Obamas campaign manager, David Plouffe, now says Governor Jon Huntsman makes him, a "wee bit queasy...I think he's really out there speaking a lot of truth about the direction of the party."
To which Kirk Jowers of the University of Utahs Hinckley Institute of Politics says, "Huntsman has positioned himself in a great place right now because he is the only presidential candidate really running in the middle right now."

It looks like they are trying to define who the candidate should be, so they can clean up again. Why vote for a new liberal?
“Please, PLEASE dont throw me into that brier patch!!”
Ditto, I was about to say just that.
One must keep in mind why this drivel is coming out of Utah - the Jazz are out of the playoffs, and there’s no shortage of self-delusional kool-aid about.
Apparently, we agree on something. Huntsman is awful.
But, if he is “Romney in disguise,” why didn’t he support Romney?
Why? ... For the same reason I wouldn’t support someone with whom I’m in competition for a partuicular job. But that was a pretty good try.
Which means they fear this liberal the least.
Dear Mr. Plouffe: Don’t worry. The liberal RINO Huntsman will never be our nominee. Sleep well.
You tool.
Braer Fox.......
I meant that Huntsman is as liberal, and as second-generation moneyed, and as Mormon, as Romney.
He’s like a Romney-lite, since he personally hasn’t had the business success that Romney has enjoyed.
Bingo.
Take a drive down a road in the country after a warm Spring night and see what you find in the middle.
Huntsman is more liberal. And he doesn’t have to be in Utah. Huntsman is totally riding on daddy’s name and money. Romney’s dad wasn’t poor, by any means, but Romney has earned his own fortune.
If Hussein feared this Huntsman guy, Gollum Carville and the pack of media and liberal wolves would be attacking him like they've been attacking Beautiful and Intelligent Sarah and Wise and Dashing Rush.
I still would like to know the clients that Romney started investing for, the ones who got him going in the venture capital business. I would bet that a great deal of them came from his daddy’s influence and also perhaps a more corporate, religious entity.
I believe Huntsman is pro-amnesty, and his dad is the gazillionaire who is giving away all of his $. LDS also, I believe.
Zero hasn’t been right about anything, how can anyone assume he is right about this?
“Sarah Palin
Rush Limbaugh”

With the effect that they have had on Obama’s progress so far, I’m not so sure he’s quaking in his boots.
If the economy goes up, there will be no stopping Obama in 2012 except maybe Democratic infighting. The guy is just too popular. That popularity will ony wane if the economy stays flat or falls. Best bet is to focus on Senate and House in 2010. Get a slim focus on a few issues and hammer them. Then carry it over to 2012.
He was with a large investment company, developed a clientele, then started a venture capital division, is my understanding.
I doubt he did anything for the Mormon church. They have their own investment wizards — Deseret Management Corp.
