LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Actor and comedian Dom DeLuise, whose big screen classics included "The Cannonball Run," "Spaceballs" and "History of the World Part I," died on Monday night at a Los Angeles hospital, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

He was 75.

The actor has starred in dozens of films over the years, often teaming up with off-screen pal Burt Reynolds.

Most recently, he was working on the CGI live-action fantasy film "Instant Karma," starring Dwayne Johnson, Pierce Brosnan and Mira Sorvino. Reynolds and DeLuise both had "voice" roles in the film.

Weird. I was just asking my brother if he was still alive as my niece was watching All Dogs Go To Heaven.

So sad. He also wrote a nice cookbook/memoir, “Eat This, It’ll Make You Feel Better.’

he was still young... he seemed older to me... even back in the early 70s when he was on those Dean Martin Roasts, he wa actually very young, but seemed much older... to me, anyway... remember when he did those Glad freezer bag commercials? i think it was Glad... he would talk to the food and say good-bye to it as he prepared to packed it in the freezer...

His 'You're right, it's not high enough' scene in The End is an all-time classic.

Wasn’t he in the movie Fatso?
A great, very sad movie.

Also, some of his best stuff was on Carson with Burt.

Oh yea, you can’t leave out “The End” with Dom and Burt.

I loved him in the Glass Bottom Boat - one of the funniest movies ever made. It had Rod Taylor, Doris Day, Dom Deluise, Dick Martin, Arthur Godfrey, and a half dozen other well-known, very funny actors.

I guess the Lord needed some extra laughs upstairs.

Rest in Peace Dom, God be with you and I’m sure He is.

I had a friend who met him while he was working on “Whorehouse”. He asked her if she would like to see something he was very proud of. When she said yes he began to unbuckle his belt.

(and for those of you wound a little too tightly... it was a JOKE. He did not actually drop his pants)
