The CIA's Fight With Obama

Has Barack Obama made an enemy who can sabotage his presidency?

The presidency of George W. Bush began to unravel when some in high positions at the Central Intelligence Agency began waging a covert campaign against him.

It began in the summer of 2003 when officials at the CIA asked the Justice department to open a criminal investigation into who had disclosed to columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame, wife of controversial former diplomat Joseph Wilson, worked at the CIA.

The officials knew at the time the Intelligence Identities Protection Act did not apply to Ms. Plame, who'd been out of the field for more than five years.

The CIA tends to lean VERY left...

This whole thing of them being furious with Obama smells fishy.

one can only hope that stealth forces in the CIA and elsewhere will undermine this socialist regime now in the White House.

I'd rather hope that the CIA is reformed or replaced with an intelligence service that is capable of doing it's job. The CIA didn't see the fall of the Soviet Union coming, was caught completely unawares by Pakistan's nuclear test, didn't alert us to 9/11, provided bad intelligence about Iraq's nuclear capability and pushed hard for an Iraqi invasion, and then undermined the Bush administration and the Iraqi war effort at every turn.

The democratic process is more than sufficient to get rid of a bad president, and I trust it a lot more than I trust the collection of boobs and scoff-laws at the CIA.

I always thought that too...but perhaps there are a few patriots after 8 years of Bush and 911, who are not going to put up with this traitorous crap from Obama. That’s my prayer anyway.

Man, the CIA doesn’t like anybody coming into their turf do they? Mad at GWB, mad at their imperial premier of communism. The CIA is full of lifer government milkers. It’d take an all out attack by two or three carrier groups from the Navy to bomb that place clean.

The presidency of George W. Bush began to unravel when some in high positions at the Central Intelligence Agency began waging a covert campaign against him.

The shadow government. The same one that attacked Joe the Plumber for making ZerO look bad during a debate even though "Joe" did not even attend.

The shadow government is liberal Democrats who put Party before country and seek to tear down their political opponents by any means necessary and using their unelected government jobs to thwart the elected administration and expose people even if such leaks are criminal (as in the case of those who spilled details of Joe's record).

“Indiana Jones” Jack Wheeler has an interesting background with the boys at Langley. He writes about the Obama - CIA situation over Briand and Bordeaux with a French intel guy in Paris... very good insider stuff.

The article states that most CIA are democrats.

I did not know that.

Thanks for the background. That said, I do hope that country is placed before party for a change. Way too much at stake for the ‘rats to run roughshod over security so as to keep their looney left happy...

Maybe like the “Freeper intellegence service”?

I hope the CIA does undermine Zero’s administration.

There is no chance of that. The CIA has been pro left for years and is more likely to attack Private American citizens than Obama.

We would be netter of if the CIA was disbanded and a new agency started from scratch. No intelligence is better than bad intelligence.

If Obama's administration is undermined it will be through the Israeli Intelligence service.

Could Obama be waging a misinformation “rope-a-dope” campaign? Perhaps he’d like us to nibble at these stories, only to later expose us to ridicule when proved wrong?

I remember hearing Jesse Ventura say that politics is all a hollywood show game.

He at first supported Obama so he is nuts LOL but seriously who runs this country and what are their politics? Leftist utopian NWO?

I don’t know. Bottom line...Obama went out of his way to bash Bush for 100 + days and undermine our national security. Change... his ass.

I thought this passage was particularly interesting:
He leaned forward. "The world can go - how do you say - sideways with this man very quickly. No one he has working for him knows what they are doing - possibly excepting Mrs. Clinton - and he certainly does not. All of us in our little community are worried - us, our friends in Berlin, London, Tel Aviv, and Langley too as you say. It is not like the barbarians at the gates. It is everythere are no gates. The Somalis, Chavez, Iran, Putin, Beijing, the ‘Norks" as you call them, the list is long and it is growing. We are not sure what to do."
I've been dying to post that passage since I read it last week at TTP! Wasn't sure whether I'd violate subscription rules though.

It's not just the CIA that Zero is pissing off. It's the intell community world wide.

I look forward to Jack's "Glass Half-Full" column eagerly every Friday. It's helping me stay sane in the age of Zero (along with FR, of course).

I would not think the CIA would like Obama either. They probably hate him more than Bush. Maybe there is hope.
