Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney headlined congressional Republicans' big new policy conclave over the weekend, stressing the need to listen to real Americans, but also appearing to slap a potential rival for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination.
At the National Council for a New America's first "conversation" in Arlington, Va., Romney, who ran for the Republican nomination last year and has kept his name in the conversation for 2012, joined House Republican Whip Eric Cantor and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in presiding over the panel.
"Ive learned that when you sit in a position of responsibility as you do now and as we did once, you typically get the best ideas that really make a difference from people that youre serving," Romney said, citing his experience helping pass the Bay State's universal healthcare plan.

I swallowed hard to vote for him when it was between him and McCain; however I will not vote for him again. Too much ambition, too little substance; too little principle.

Liberals do love their boondoggles, even when all the evidence shows they are total failures with ever-spiraling budget shortalls followed by tax increases.
We need to never allow these folks to self-proclaim the conservative title, and we need to drive these sheiz-bags off like the vermin they are.

Palin still needs to EARN it. She has to show us a solid track record, and she has to prove to the public she has substance.
Mitt will never have a track record NOR substance.

Actually when I had to fill out the proof of health care for the 4 months I lived in Mass and it was rejected 3 times by the department of revenue I was done with Myth Romney.

"These are the people of America that have these ideas. We want to share these ideas with one another and make sure that were laying out a vision and a plan for America that makes our lives and the lives of our kids better."
Spoken like a true Big Government Conservative. How about cutting taxes and government and getting the heck out of our lives.

“I love [government] mandates, mandates work!” - Mitt Romney - not in front of a bunch of liberals, not in Massachusetts, but during a Republican presidential debate.
If there is ever an indication that someone has absolutely abandoned every principle that Ronald Reagan brought to the party, and brought the nation together to give the Democrats their biggest defeat ever, this is certainly one of the most obvious ones.
