Should we consider asking our churches to redefine our vows (Covenant)if the continuation of same-sex marriage continues to take over our country?
I do not want to be in a union, which defiles my God!
Should we start having Covenant Ceremonies? Just wondering.

IF MARRIAGE IS TAKEN OVER BY OUR JUDGES...I DONT WANT ANY PART OF IT. IT IS A COVENANT BEFORE GOD.

Has anyone read one of the latest articles by Bishop Galante of Camden, NJ? Our priest read it yesterday at 10 am Mass and I wanted to applaud.

I have no clue how to post links here, but here is what I copied from the article:

...still no noise from Massachusetts.

If you scrutinize that list, you will notice the deafening silence from most of the northeast. With the exception of one bishop, none of the other NY bishops has said one word. My local diocesan rag had stories about earth day and more church closings but nothing about Notre Dame. Then again, our bishop was thrilled when Obama was elected ... 'nuf said.

The Holy Ghost! Let’s hope he steps in. This is the most notable Catholic University in the world. What is wrong with these bishops that they won’t speak up? Here’s a chance to ‘bulldog’ the abortion industry. Please God, step in. 36 years of this garbage is long enough. Dispite what Obama says, this was and is a Christian country. Wake the Bishops up and make them stand up for what is right.

And still conspicuous by his absence, the next President of the USCCB, the Most Reverend Gerald F. Kicanas, Bishop of Tucson.

“We Shall Overcome -— O Ma-ri-a!....”

****

Oh, I hope this gets shown on tv at least one-tenth as much as we were subjected to the face of Cindy Sheehan for several years. Of course, American propaganda media will put the worst spin possible on any demonstrations.

The poll numbers are deceiving...

The more people attended Church, the more they opposed the invitation to Obama. The less people attended Church, the more they favored the invitation to Obama...

In other words, Luke Warm Catholics are ones that would support Obama and the invitation. Those who have resolve in their beliefs -- strongly oppose Obama...

The Book of Revelation comes to mind:

Rev 3:14-22
14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation.
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!
16 So, because you are lukewarm-- neither hot nor cold-- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
(NIV)

How about all Catholics (polled)

This poll like many pools was written wrong. The question should be split: Is it right to invite Obama?
Is is right to honor Obama with a degree?

On the first part, technically, Inviting Obama is licit in the eyes of the Church even though serious Catholics should oppose it.
On the second part, honoring pro-infanticide politicians is what the Church condemns, and that part is what we should make sure we condemn.

My reasoning is that the pro-infanticide apologists will parade the academic freedom/free speech issues in front of the MSM. If we separate the issue, saying that they can invite anyone they like (even though having a person that advocates infanticide is pretty poor taste), they may not honor that person with awards. We don't argue a point we don't really disagree with, and we focus on the issue of rewarding pro-infanticide politicians.

It focuses our issues with the award, and avoids the free speech issue.
