Georgia’s two U.S. senators spoke with The Augusta Chronicle today, giving their insight into national hot button issues and stating where they stand on them.

***snip**

Everyone knew what Mr. Obama wanted to do when he ran for president, Mr. Isakson said. “I don’t think anybody in Washington expected him to put all of it on the table in the first 90 days,” he said, adding concerns about some of the actions the president has taken. “Government does a lot of things well. I took notice of the "goverment does a lot of things well" comment

And also "Despite the perception portrayed in the media, Mr. Isakson said Republicans aren’t the “party of 'No.’”

What is wrong with the "party of 'No' ???

I did too.

“Government does a lot of things well. Running a business isn’t one of them.”

Government does defense and law enforcement well, which is good because you can't have private industry do those two things.

Pretty much everything else gets screwed up eight ways from Sunday, especially if the Feds do it.

“What is wrong with “the party of no”

Nothing if it would keep this country from falling further into a third world socialistic cluster and people would wake up to the “whys” of the “nos”.

I guess government run FDIC deposit insurance is ok with most of us. I do not think I would be keeping any money in a bank today without it.
