FR is not Republican before conservative, but a lot closer to Republican than any other party that has a chance of winning. As tantalizing as it may be, a third party route would only split the conservative vote and make it even easier for the Demonrats to win. And they already have the huge, built-in advantage of the people’s ignorance.
I keep telling myself that every election. Respectfully, my question to you is when do we stop betting on a lame horse? The Republicans are drifting further away from conservative principles and making more compromises and it's not getting any better. They just aren't getting it.

SeattleBruce: “In the history of the United States, not a single third party has come close to winning the presidency, only 7 3rd parties have even won a single states electoral votes and only 5 third parties have won even 10% of the vote.
I advocate for an inside/outside the party frontal assault on the Republican party. Support true conservatives - even as independents or through 3rd party vehicles as needed, but also support true conservatives within the R party. Doing this will drive the R party back toward Conservatives and the movement can then ascend to national prominence once again. Failure to do this - in the light of history and reality of the winner takes all political structure of the US will mean the socialists win for the next 25 or 50 years. No one wants that right?
This may not be a Republican party site - but it should be a break the back of the Republican party just to spite the noses on our faces site - given what is true about political history. It should be a frontal assault on RINOs and liars in the R party site - and one that helps force the party back into the hands of Conservatives and whatever Conservative 3rd party coaltion exists at the time when national power is possible again.
