Mitt Romney, left off Time's list of the 100 most influential people, takes a jab at the list and, by extension, the Republicans on it. [Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin]
Romney jokingly suggesting in an interview with CNN's John King that they'd been included for looks, not influence:
[...]
ROMNEY: John, I'd like to have a lot more influential Republicans. I think there are a lot more influential Republicans than that would suggest. But was that the issue on the most beautiful people or the most influential people? I'm not sure. If it's the most beautiful, I understand. We're not real cute.

Wow, after all of those posts, this is the FIRST one you actually QUOTED ME CORRECTLY!
Keep up the good work!
Ooooooh! That’s harsh! ;^)
Ooooooh! That’s harsh! ;^)
Aw, jeez, wag — don’t give him any ideas! It’s too much the kind of thing he could and would do!
Great to see you. Have a good day.

Oh, no I’m not.
Pity.
Amen... this Ham despises romney the liberal rat-man.
LLS
We are tired of hearing about your menage-a-trois with
Mitt Romney and this Keith person you keep quoting.
Who cares?
The point is:
One can swoon over their candidate, yet criticize someone for swooning over another. I call that hypocritical. Think about it.
I'm not saying everything you post is nonsense.
Think about it.
Would you two please grow up? Take your feud to some other website.
Thank you.
Freerepublic is a Conservative Site
Looks like all of the simpletons mesmerized by MYTH SLICK WILLARD RINO ROMNEY had better pack their bags.
I agree not to post to each any more.
LLS
I know, LLS, and so am I.
People throw words around here loosely.
And I’m not calling you hypocritical; I wanted to make a point.
FAIR is FAIR, is all.
Palin cannot win - although I really like her - there is no need to bet on a female at the top of the ticket at this time - VP, OK once again. Although, if more than a few get behind her early, I just may jump on board.
All I’m saying is that FR can make a difference in 2012 if someone is ID’ed early and close to 100% of the posters here can get behind that candidate.
Just because McCain picked her for the second position doesn’t mean that it’s an automatic run for her in 2012. The fact is, I’m not sure that she even has that fire in the belly that is needed to go through the process - don’t know that she really wants to be POTUS, actually it’s hard to understand why anyone wants to be POTUS, but there are those that do.
Once again, PALIN CANNOT WIN AT THE TOP OF THE TICKET.
That’s my belief and I’m sticking to it.
If there is anyone here who doesn’t understand why we cannot support a slick socialist politician like Mitt Romney, God help you, but you’re on the wrong website. We went through this with the abortionist, gay rights activist, illegal alien supporting, gun grabbing Rudy Giuliani until someone created another website call WAnkers for Rudy and they all flew the coop. Hopefully, before too much FReeper blood is shed, someone will create a WAnkers for Romney site and we can be left to fight the good fight as we see fit!
FR is not for everyone!

The next GOP POTUS is not on the radar yet, but we will know him when we see him.
