If ever you needed further proof of the "person of color" America really needs in charge right now, I urge you to watch this fabulous YouTube footage of the magnificent Condoleezza Rice being ambushed by left-liberal students at Stanford University with a series of "difficult" questions about torture, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and US foreign policy under George W Bush. Her coolness under fire is magnificent, but more impressive still is her refusal to duck the issues. "Sorry we have to leave", an official can be heard saying off camera, but Condi isn't going to take the easy way out: she wants to stand up for her principles and put the pantywaists in their place.
"Let me tell you something: unless you were there in a position of responsibility after September 11 you cannot possibly imagine the dilemmas that we faced in trying to protect Americans," she says.
"Maybe before you make allegations about Guantanamo, you should READ," says Condi, with exquisitely measured .
Condi, you are a star and if America won't have you as our next president, please will you come over and be our next Queen instead?

Condi for President in 2012! She’d be an awesome President, and it would be an awesome campaign season. Just think — the race issue thrown out of the picture because BOTH major parties’ candidates are black — one an incumbent and the other probably the best qualified candidate in the nation’s history.

Good point. What did John Adams or Thomas Jefferson do before becoming President? Absolute pikers compared to Condi...who darn near gave an endorsement of Obama in 2008.
Even in this clip, she is careful not to endorse water-boarding. She makes the point that she only passed on the Administration’s position to agencies under her. She’s a softy on foreign policy, unknown on fiscal matters, pro-choice and puts race above country.

I agree. Her treatment of Israel was a big disappointment. She is also pro abort as well. Obviously she would be better than the current occupant of the white house, but as a RINO associated with the Bush administration, she would have had less of a chance than McCain. The next republican elected to high office needs to be a conservative as well if we have any hope of regaining power.
I am many issues with Condi, as I do with McCain, Romney, Rudy, Crist, etc, etc, etc.
I need to learn more about people like Barbour.

That's the whole thing. We never saw the films of those people hitting the ground, and I'm sure the Bush Administration did. Some day those pictures will be released and I think you will see some different attitudes about waterboarding.
I'm thinking she needs to do some college lectures around the country.
What went through my head watching it was how much smarter and articulate she is than Hillary.
The kid probably still thinks one person was waterboarded 183 times because the NYTimes said it was true.
The only decent reporting we’re getting from anyone is coming out of Canada and the UK.
That is insane! People are going to get such a shock because they have been so protected for so long. It’s ugly out there and getting uglier by the day.
