GOP group launches listening tour to rebrand image

WASHINGTON (AP) — With its party struggling to define itself, a group of prominent Republicans launched a listening tour Saturday in a bid to boost the GOP's sagging image and regroup for future elections.

Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., held a town-hall style meeting at a pizza restaurant in the Democratic suburb of Arlington, Va., to hear about people's concerns on issues from the economy and health care to the rising costs of college tuition.

"You can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something," Bush told a group of about 100 people at the Pie-Tanza pizza parlor. "I don't like it, but they have it and we have to be respectful and mindful of that.

"I hope across the country people will be excited about the prospect of sharing their ideas to bring about a better America," he said.

It was the first meeting of the GOP group National Council for a New America, which was created to rebrand the party's image.

That sounds like a page right out of the Democrats playbook.

FYI --

Still, notably absent from either group's rosters are the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, ....

I was leery when I first heard of this. Now I think she needs to stay the hell away from these losers. They just want to use her to juice the crowds and raise money. Screw 'em.

So, how many showed up to see Sarah Palin in Evansville, Indiana two weeks ago?

Thousands and streets had to be blocked off around the site.

“You can’t beat something with nothing, and the other side has something,”

####

What is it EXACTLY that they have Jeb?

Openly practiced Marxism?

The devotion of perverts, class warfarists and racists?

A lying media in their pocket?

One time success with a vacuous due to the peaking of white guilt?

An adversary with no balls?

Should be:

One time success with a vacuous, unqualified charlatan due to the peaking of white guilt?

RINO’s all, down to the last one.

I notice it didn’t say radical right-wing republicans.

Which BTW is all I will vote for.

I’ll also bet these are the same people behind some of the anti Palin smears.

Yeah right! The tea party crowd would have shouted these idiots down. Did you see what happened to that guy who voted for TARP in SC?

Exactly. And Ron Paul is drawing crowds wherever he makes an appearance as well.

The party needs to take a clue.

Another waste of money they don’t have.

This is all they need to know. Adhere to the limits placed on the Federal Government by the Constitution of the United States of America.

Got it? Good, now go home and leave the rest of us alone.

I don’t care how many people showed up for a Palin speech. If only two showed up, she would still be my hero. She would still be right on the issues.

Christians are in this fight not just for the next election but for eternity.
