Those are great charts of what is really going on with the top 19 banks. No doubt, corruption, fraud, looting and market manipulation hard at work while we are all distracted with 'the pandemic swine flu' which has killed one person. You do know that it was the DHS that released the memo on swine fly don't you? Last year the common flu killed 20,000 people.

If you believe that all the loans that have balloon payments in the next few years are "performing loans" since they are making their payments (even though they will probably default when they can't refinance)--then you too could be a banker.

the local and regional banks around here have been hanging on quite well. Of course, they never got into the sub-prime mess.
I am of the opinion that when the recovery takes place it will be in spite of Obama’s programs, not because of them.
And, I am also of the opinion that the Administration will do all they can to keep the economy hurting as long as possible. They need it looking bad to justify their power grabs.

Government is squeezing private sector slowly out of business and yes, that does keep the economy in the crapper. Private sector wage increase for the last quarter? .02%. How about government? .08%. So if you are in the private sector, your wages cannot keep up with inflation.

It's like I keep trying to tell everyone - My husband works with bankers every day. He's an accountant for subsidized housing. The democrats Community Reinvestment Act did us in. We're in for big trouble. Stop spending and start saving. Pay off all the debt you can.
The talking heads are hoping they can create an illusion that everything is just hunky dory and that Oboma is without blemish.

I just associate with lots of women and I know how women love to talk about how they ‘feel’. Perhaps one of us is a bit less advanced in data analysis which is what I happen to do for a living.

The stock market has been soaring as banks report fraudulent earnings. These banks are purposely underestimating future losses to make current earnings appear better than they really are. OMG! I guess this joker has the crystal ball that will tell what the actual future losses will be? LOL!

Toddster, you back. You disappeared for awhile. We were discussing SIV’s and your flimsy arguments/cheerleading in defense of those products. Toddster, your opinions are worthless.
To: iThinkBig
The people who support 0bama think the economy is improving, so long as the government is controlling more and more of it. Government controlling 10 percent of the economy is bad. Government controlling 50 percent of the economy is good, even if that means 50 percent of the wealth that existed prior to that accomplishment is gone. Government control = good, and increasing government control = getting better, no matter how bad things really are.

Something tells me that the economy will look good until the 2010 elections, then it will go in the tank again after the Democrats have gained more House and Senate seats.
They will then use the 2010 election to go for an even bigger power grab and force us into unabashed socialism.
You know, I find it kind of convenient that our troops will be getting out of Iraq right before the 2010 elections.
