Americans are turning their backs on the dishonest media and these new numbers prove it. Newsrooms across the country are being swamped under with red ink and there is no end in sight. A new report from Editor and Publisher on America’s largest newspapers shows just three with less than a one percent decline and eleven with a double digit drop. The good news is here. The sycophantic enchanted Democrat lapdogs are crashing to earth at a rapid pace. It is indeed fitting that this information should surface on May Day, the Marxist’s highest holiday. With the things that have been happening since Obama was elected it’s nice to get news of impending victory in at least one area.

With the drop off in TV ads, the TV news is going to become a loss leader.
The end is near for a “free press”. From now on you will pay to subsidize the official government propaganda.

For me it’s more about their complete inability to keep up with the internet, in terms of timely news. My local fishwrap, for example, doesn’t even carry the results of the local team’s NBA playoff games (which end around 11PM local time). The paper’s op-ed pages are fairly split between ‘stinking lib’ and ‘conservative’ but by the time I get the paper in the AM, I’m usually reading nothing I haven’t already read here or elsewhere.
RIP, Newspaper. Join the horseshoe makers of a century ago in obsolescence.
In the future we will use newspapers in a similar manner.
This is their plan. They will control most of the media. Unfortunately, many people get their “news” from these sources. And even more unfortunately, many get it from Fox and talk radio but don’t believe what they see and hear. So all the democrats have to do is “own” the rest.

TV stations have been dumping talent (read: audience favorites with long tenures who cost too much) like gravel lately. In many cases on-air staff are working without contracts because the stations have them over a barrel.
Who’s left? Young, often incompetent newsreaders with no connection to the region or the audience and who, most often, are waiting for that next step up the ladder to Des Moines or Santa Fe or Knoxville. Consultants long ago ruined local news with their insistence on various formulae but as long as the news was delivered by a human then basic psychology says that other humans (the audience) would develop an affinity for the newsreader (they hoped). When one strange face after another shows up in the anchor chair that psychology is turned on its head.
The stations, then, are further depressing ratings in spite of themselves and the downward spiral continues.
And that’s the very point. They could turn their fortunes around next week by simply making a few high prifile changes. They don’t want to. They prefer to go down with the rotting corpse.

I’m already finding that newspaper makes a great firestarter.
As part of his policy to vanquish wrong-thinking and to seize command of the controlling heights of the economy; the One could not be happier...the bank and auto template will work nicely for the newspaper industry.
Our local paper doesn’t even pretend anymore. The Editorial board is 100% Democrat. They have even started crticizing newspaper that criticize Democrats.
The fact that the TV shows are laced with political leftard crap, you don’t think that has anything to do with it? It nearly killed off American Idol, and has killed off 24.
The movies are failing for similar reasons. As soon as the movie starts this crap, it’s ejected ...
Bias is a problem no doubt but that’s not a problem the news organizations will countenance.
They WILL admit that they are afraid to spend a dime and that is why on-air staff are leaving.
