An attorney who served in the Clinton administration was found dead Thursday in an apparent suicide at his Washington law office.
Kilpatrick Stockton, an Atlanta firm, confirmed in a statement that attorney Mark Levy had died.
"Mark Levy was well known and highly respected for his successful appearances before the Supreme Court of the United States," said Bill Dorris, the firm's co-managing partner.
Levy was a deputy assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice between 1993 and 1995 and served five years in the Solicitor General's office.
D.C. Police spokeswoman Helen Andrews said officers were called to an office building where the firm is located to investigate a shooting Thursday morning. She said investigators believe it was a suicide.
Levy attended Yale University's law school with former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and more recently worked on fundraising for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, said Dennis Gingold, an attorney who was working with Levy on a case.
"I don't know anyone who isn't shocked by what just happened," Gingold said. "He was a good guy. He really was professional, first class."
During his career, Levy had argued 16 cases before the Supreme Court. At Kilpatrick Stockton, he served as counsel and chair of the firm's Supreme Court and appellate advocacy practice. Levy, who was married and has two children, lived in Bethesda, Md.
The firm had announced this week that 24 lawyers would be laid off, but it wasn't immediately clear whether Levy had been affected by staff cuts.
The death comes after the chief financial officer of mortgage giant Freddie Mac killed himself last week. David Kellermann was found dead April 22 in the basement of his northern Virginia home. Colleagues had noticed he was under stress and had suggested he take time off.

Yeah, hard to figure that out. Leaving your loved ones, "holding the bag", so to speak, is cruel.
Graduated Yale in ‘75 ... when did zero ‘graduate’ ?
I don’t know anyone who isn’t shocked by what just happened
I know of 2 or more that are not shocked. The Clintons and their hired hit men.
The list on that thread even had the list of numerous service agents who either died or committed suicide, of whoich I hadn’t heard about...am looking for it.
Go to the ALamo-GIrl link on the front page of FR. I think it’s posted there.
The Birth Certificate and the Supreme Court.
That's my guess, n' I'm stickin' TO it.
Sadly, it appears that he was under the devil's influence right up to the last act of his life.
Why?... Because yet another ‘fundraiser’ for the clintoons has conveniently taken himself out of witness listing.
I can’t copy/paste from this phone because it won’t keep the format.. Here’s the link:

The BIGGEST problem with Suicide . . . There Are No Do-Overs!
Don’t do it. You miss all the good parts of your life if you do.
Thank you, I had forgotten that she kept that list—which is far more extensive than the one I just posted. When I get back on the computer later, I’d like to compare both lists: especially the bodyguards—not secret service like I originally thought.
As a friend told me once, “Don’t leave before the miracle happens.”
Or one could look at it from a spiritual warfare point of view and postulate that the true dem believers in statistically large numbers get to the point of blackness in despair from living the life of lies and deceit. They either off themselves or are permanently silenced in a desperate awakened nobility of truth and the desire to convince their fellow clintonistas to move to the light.
It is always startling how groups of people will admire the clothes of the naked emperor. Waking up is too, too frightening.
Strange, passing strange...
Police: Lawyer on Verge of Job Loss Found Dead in D.C.
###
A 59-year-old lawyer with an Atlanta-based firm who was due to lose his job today for economic reasons was found dead in his Washington office this morning of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Mark I. Levy, a former deputy assistant attorney general in the Clinton administration, was discovered by a co-worker about 8 a.m. in his 11th-floor office at Kilpatrick Stockton, in the 600 block of 14th Street NW, police said. They said evidence indicates that Levy shot himself in the head with a .38-caliber handgun.

Why would any liberal be depressed? We’re in the time of Obama Utopia (tm). This is the Nirvana for liberals all over the country. How can a leftie of any credibility end it all when they are seeing all the things they’ve worked for their entire lives come to fruition?
Oh, he was about to lose his job? Why should that be a problem? Surely, Obama would have found another government job for Levy.
RIP
WP seems to be going out of their way in the headline to keep the name: ‘Clinton’ out of this whole thing. Wonder if he knew anything about the BC? That’s my first thought.
“The source said Levy’s 20-year-old son found the note yesterday morning and called Montgomery County police.”
That is so sad. I don’t understand people that can do that to their families. It seems so selfish and cowardly(not to mention the sin it is in God’s eyes).
I know someone who crossed paths with both Clintons when he and they were in law school. He said he could tell they were deeply immoral, evil people and he wanted nothing to do with them.
Which tells me all I need to know about people who DID decide to get involved with them.
Anyone who remained in the Democratic Party after the party became officially pro-abortion in 1972 had no excuse. All such people aligned themselves with evil.
Nil nisi bonum and all that.
