More delusion from people like you who wake up and breath simply to hate someone.... someone in the GOP for heavens sake.
Romney had the SECOND highest number of votes in the 2008 Republican primary, and the second highest delegates, and he dropped out three months before Hucklebee.
Those who so viciously hated and destroyed Romney in 2008 gave us McCain, who has completely obliterated the conservative movement for years to come.
Romney, for his past faults, at least has the balls to speak conservatism and has the guts to go after Obama.
Strong military, tough on jihadist Muslim nutjobs, private solutions, non-punitive tax code, low taxes, pro Christian solutions. Romney speaks to these and other conservative solutions.
I too said and did dumb things in my early career. Give the man a freakin' break.
You have Mitt and Rush confused.
All Republicans and conservatives need to look long and hard at these words by Edit35. Sadly, Edit is not the exception -- he is the rule in representing the mindset of many pro-Romney people on Free Republic. Edit and like-minded Romney supporters dismiss valid objections to Romney, and dismiss civil debate about those objections, by attributing them to motives of "hate."
The word "hate" is one universally used by children, Liberals, and Romney supporters as an emotional manipulation tactic to disarm and put on the defensive those who basically say "no" to them, and to award themselves with the status of the "poor victim" of said hate. Use of the word "hate" automatically disqualifies them as reasonable adversaries or even allies.
Romney's politics aside -- as if the actual words of Romney (please ponder my post 420 on this thread, quoting from about 18 minutes of his CPAC speech) weren't enough to make it obvious that Romney is philosophically empty of conservative principle -- the mindset and mentality of the majority of Romney supporters as represented on Free Republic would be enough to warn any thinking person away from Romney.
