See anything that proves otherwise does not exist, and if tit does it is made up by all you bigoted haters...
The thing that so irks me about the Romney haters on FR is that the man is TRYING to do the right thing, and yet all he gets is vicious attacks.
Other so-called ‘Republicans’ kiss up and try and get along with the Dem leftists and yet they still get respect and support from those same Romney-haters on this forum.
It is absolutely backwards ..... and leads me to say once again that I believe it is Romney’s faith which subconsciously makes them so vicious.
Lastly, if someone else rises in the GOP ranks who is more articulate and better able to carry the conservative message than Romney, then I’m there.
UNtil then, we have to go with what we’ve got.
Like David Limbaugh says, “Stop making the perfect the enemy of the good.”
So in other words, we should simply reject all Republicans in the Northeast because they were "elected" by tainted populations.
Since he only posts undisputed and unchallengeable facts about Romney, I have no issue sharing the burden.
FINALLY!!!!
You may be finally getting it in some small way.
If Mitt was REALLY a CONSERVATIVE, he would not have to "TRY", he would just DO!
The issue is trust and Mitt cannot be trusted to stay on any given path he appears to be on.
Beliefs are more soild and life long when they are real...
Yes. Look @ the last dozen or more posts going back months & months & months from TAdams to Diogenesis. All you see, repetitiously, is frothy name-calling by TAdams -- ad hominens like "liar" and "troll" -- and rarely any specifics as to what Diogenesis has allegedly lied about. (In fact, you really can't even guess from TAdams' posts -- you have to go directly to Diogenesis' posts to find out).
TAdams a few times says that what Diogenesis & other posters have said supposedly were "refuted hundreds & hundreds of times" ... but since I can't over the past dozen posts from TAdams to Diogenesis even find one attempted" refutation, who is the one here who is engaging in ongoing sordid name-calling, personal attacks, and liberal tactics?
Typical liberal tactics are simply to label people; call them names; complain about stereotyping while engaging in stereotyping -- lumping all people who oppose them as being all guilty of the same thing.
Maybe rather than spend an hour trying to wade through those posts going back further, TAdams could either be a bit more specific, or Diogenesis could point out whenever his/her posts have been opposed, who & what has been said as attempted "refutations."
Other than that, I nominate TAdams over the past half year for the "FREEPER Broken Record" honors...sounding most like a stuttering DVD. (And I pity you Diogenesis, for having even to put up with this ongoing shotgun broadside)
TAdams, didn't your momma ever teach you that if you're going to critique someone, be specific about your accusations rather than just launching overarching accusatory name-calling?
If Diogenesis or other FREEPERS are supposed "trolls," what evidence do you have for this, TAdams? It's time you put up or shut up with these generic shotgun accusations.
Wow! So now we have FREEPERS who can psycho analyze massive number of other FREEPERS' subconscious all in one fell swoop...from a distance...without really knowing any of them. Interesting. (And for your next trick, Dr. Edit Freud?)
TAdams8591 - I can guarantee you that I’m not a member of “Mass Resistance” or any what did you call them? Fringe group? That is unless you call Free Republic, the Republican Party, or the Christian church a “fringe” group. You’ve successfully brought the number of times I’ve been called a name on this thread to 13. When this thread started, I didn’t care for Mitt Romney. Now at post 800, I’m giving money to his political opponents and pledged to do so any and every time I see his rabid supporters ripping into me or another FReeper on this forum. Congratulations! You guys have made me wholly dislike Mitt Romney! For your comments, I donated $5 to SarahPAC this evening. Wanna make it $10? Go ahead and whirl another accusation at me or call me another name.
redgirlinabluestate - I pinged you because your fellow Mitt fan La Enchiladita brought you in in post 636 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2241437/posts?page=636#636 so she could attack me for being on FR for less than a year and not supporting Mitt Romney. In post 795 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2241437/posts?page=795#795 you accused me of “not being a conservative” for not supporting Mitt Romney. I can assure you that I’m more of a conservative in my left pinky finger than Slick Mitt is in his whole eugenics-loving body. Please refer back to any of the researched links about Mitt here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2241437/posts?page=782#782(thank you Diogenesis for the links). For your comments, I donated another $5 to SarahPAC. Do you want to make it $10? Call me another name, keep this going and I will no doubt make another donation to your beloved Mitt Romney’s likely political opponent.
I will do this from now until 2012 if you want to. Call your Mitt buddies and get them in on it too! I guarantee you that every one of your delusional slams on me over Mitt Romney will result in further damage to your cause.
ansel12, Elsie, ejonesie22 & fieldmarshaldj - I’ve never met you guys on FR before today so thank you for supporting me with kind words against this barrage of lunacy and unwarranted hatefulness!
I don't believe in biological evolution, but I do believe in political de-evolution. (Some politicians, like Romney, "evolve" -- only to de-evolve again -- like treatment of embryos, deeming "sexual orientation" as possible protected class status in the workplace, his return to board member status of Marriott, which gleans a portion of its profits by joining the porn industry like the corner bookstore in profiteering off of the paid sexual exploitation of women, or presenting gay adopting couples as just another "family" option -- a few years after same-sex marriage was passed in his state on his watch etc.)
Give the most waffling of waffling-tendency politicians a big enough dart board & enough time to toss darts at all the different categories of "positions" to hit, and yeah, that politician will tend to "agree" with the bulk of conservative positions -- depending on the time & place of when they tossed that dart.
But no. I don't believe that businessmen should profiteer (like Romney's business associates) off the in-room rentals of porn movies. (Even if it pales by comparison to the larger rest of the porn industry, please tell us what's the difference between a prostitute who sells herself quarterly vs. a prostitute who sells herself nightly?)
And, no, I don't believe that parents should be "pro-choice" about whether to give up their embryos for "adoption" or "research" (dissection) -- like Romney told Katie Couric in Dec. '07. [Could you really imagine any real pro-life parent in their right mind talking about their offspring in using "adoption" as an option in one sentence and giving that offspring to "research" in the next sentence?]
And, no, I don't think it should be left up to the states to decide if employers should be forced to treat "sexual orientation" as protected class status.
And, no, I don't think RomneyCare, Massachusetts-style, should be emulated nationwide.
And, no, I don't think politicians, upon undergoing a pro-life altar call, should promise in press conferences that they'll uphold a previous promise to maintain the "pro-choice status quo" -- like Romney did 4 years ago this month. "I am absolutely committed to my promise to maintain the status quo with regards to laws relating to abortion and choice," said Romney.
(Wow! The late-term babies in the womb on May 27, 2005 were glad to hear that stellar "pro-life" conviction from such a stellar "anti-abortion" officeholder!!!)
And, no, I don't think gay couples should be treated as stellar, "just another family choice" alternative for adopting kids -- as a June, 2007 New Hampshire comment by Mitt indicated: There are other ways to raise kids thats fine: single moms, grandparents raising kids, gay (adopted) couples raising kids. Thats the American way, to have people have their freedom of choice." (See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1846252/posts)
You can feign not to "trust" until the cows come home.
The hypoocricy spouted from the FR anti-Romney crowd is obvious. You believe that none of the other back-stabbing or timid Republicans such as McCain, Hucklebee, Guiliani, Thompson, etc are deserving of your vitriol and spite .... except Romney.
It's insane. You trust all those others, yet you don't trust a man who at least has the courage to repeatedly stand up to the Obamaworlders .... a man who has spoken forcefully to right any wrongs he might have spoken in the past.
Those with knee-jerk vitriol as the anti-Romney crowd are political suicide.... because you obviously believe that no one is acceptable except those you demand to be die hard conservatives from birth.
There are very few of them, my friend. Not enough to win national elections.
Reagan changed. Gingrich changed. I changed. Many people change .... and in fact converts often made the best advocates.
McCain won, and conservatism not only lost, it was demolished beyond recognition.
Romney has (had) the articulation and the balls to speak out against the libs.
McCain (except for one night at Rick Warren's church) was a wimp the entire election.
Thanks for nothing, Romney haters!
I couldn’t agree more.
The most virulent anti-Romney posters you see on this thread are the same ones posting attacks against Mormons on Mormon religion discussion threads, and most regular posters on FR KNOW it. They are as vicious and perhaps even more vicious than any on the left I have encountered. They go after Romney like a hoard of locusts and are a devastating blight on the conservative movement.
You should ping the guy who posted this anti-Romney thread and lay that on him.
Of course only do that if you really believe the emotional nonsense that you post.
Why the hell should I do her work,

Because it is COURTEOUS to include a link when you cut and paste wholesale. Citing your sources makes verification (and thus debate) easier.
The reason Romney lost was everybody else's fault; Romney himself has no responsiblity for it. That is the way you see it, and that is pathetic.
Romney's defeat didn't have anything to do with the fact that what you considered "balls" and "speaking out against the Libs" by Romney, the majority of conservatives recognized as empty fine-sounding prattle that whitewashed Romney's penchant for big government and contempt for true conservative principle.
McCain lost, and you say "conservatism not only lost, it was demolished beyond recognition." No, the Republican party was what was damaged because conservatism had been abandoned long before McCain lost -- it became uncrecognizable when its primary line-up was Rudy McRombee. Conservatism was abandoned and the party lost.
Your post is one of the most outstanding examples I've seen yet of the poor loser, whiny, self-pitying, finger-pointing contempt that is intrinsic to the Romney mindset.
THAT is why Romney lost, and he deserved to lose.
Stalking me now who made you the arbiter of truth!

ROFL Resty. It is a FREE REPUBLIC. I am allowed to read and post on any thread I choose (just like you are). Showing up on the same thread is NOT STALKING.
Wow, dear, you are coming unglued. Really. Stop playing the “victim card”. I must think that I am getting through to you since all I have done is be polite and try to carry on conversations, yet you make these unfounded accusations against me. I do not insult you or make fun of your posts, I respond in a level headed manner and make every effort to understand what you are saying and to respond appropriately. Several others on the RF will testify to that as well.
I just wanted to know how Romney’s support of Abortion and homosexuality (WHICH IS WELL DOCUMENTED) makes him a “good person”, especially in light of LDS views on both.
Filthy rags, pimp etc what next?
Amazing how some profess to me what they are not actions speak louder than words!
- - - - - - - -
“filthy rags” was on the RF thread, Resty.
Not sure I understand the second statement. Overzealous support of Romney is “pimping him out” to be the next President. It is a common slang term. I am sorry if you were offended by my choice of words.
Perhaps a better phrase would have been:
Oh PUHLEEZZE! All you have done on this thread is try to sell us Mitt.
Better?
I said, Diogenesis is a socialist infiltrator.
Jim may share Dio's analysis of Romney, but he isn't obsessed with Romney or the Romney threads. Dio is. And so are YOU.
And for the record this is who I am
When you spend ten years of your life fighting some of the most vicious THUGS the left has to offer on behalf of the first amendment, then we can sit down and amicably talk. Let's see how much of your personal life, you'd wish to reveal at a deposition full of Teamsters, and democrat politicians like Governor Ed Rendell of PA, Lynne Abraham and their attorney's. Unfortunately, the threads don't go back to 1998, so there's a whole lot missing.
My brother and I have been conservative since and including our days at Penn State. He established an Intercollegiate PA Pro-Life Conference, a group still in existence today. We worked for Reagan, fought the Liberals in and outside the classroom and at every turn since. We sacrificed a lot for the cause long before we encountered the Teamsters and FR, and a heck of a lot more afterward.
We just finished hosting a Tea Party, along with two other organizers. At 1500, it was the largest gathering of conservatives Center City Philadelphia has ever seen. I sure wish they were present the day the Teamsters so viciously assaulted us (such a gathering would have been impossible then), but how WONDERFUL it was to be surrounded by them on April 18th. And we had quite an array of talented Conservative speakers, as well as our man Pat Toomey, who I invited in person and Steve Lonegan, taxpayer champion AND the next Governor of New Jersey, both of whom I will support with hardwork and donations.
Bill Clinton, Ed Rendell, Lynne Abraham and the Teamsters did not intimidate me into silence and neither, Evan Jones, will you or the rest of your Romney and Mormon hating kabal.
Luckily, we agree with each other on 99.9% of all the other issues. :-)
Thankfully, some of us are lucid enough to realize who the real enemies are and believe our time is better spent fighting them and not each other. You are free to your opinion, of course, and you are also free to waste your time fighting other Freepers and politicians who agree with you 99.9% of the time.
