They refuse to believe any of the things YOU know! How many times have I heard, “I don’t believe all those lies they tell about him.” Strangely the same people who won’t believe the truth about Obama will believe any lie, no matter how outrageous, told about anyone with the last name of Bush. Australia doubling its defense spending, while welcome and responsible on its part, won't make the slightest difference in the grand scheme of things in Asian security matters. It is simply too small a base to matter. Does it help at the margin, sure, will it stop any major event or change its course materially, no.
