California’s liberal fascists are determined to drive out any remaining believers in free enterprise, private property, Constitutional freedoms, border control, traditional marriage, or limited government power. The state should be partitioned into free (interior) and communist (coastal) but that is not likely to happen. States like Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho are increasingly contaminated with California liberals as well, and those states should seriously consider border controls to keep them out.
We'll keep a light on for ya!
I would guess that's good news for us. The more leaving, the better
You let us know, we got a place for ya.
We know who our people are.
That visit to the Alamo shrine to freedom was indeed inspiring, to say the least!!!
Just don’t take a wrong turn at Albuquerque again........:o)
oops.
Of course they will never tell the renters what will happen when their landlord’s property tax bill increases.
When that happens and the landlords pass on the added cost of the tax increases, they are labeled as greedy and mean landlords.
“I would guess that’s good news for us. The more leaving, the better.”
Not when the hard working conservatives and independents move.
One of our younger relatives is an executive with a heavy duty construction company. He has been informed by a half dozen lower and middle management guys, they will be moving to Oklahoma or Texas before the fall school terms start. These are backbone type of men for his company and the communities where they live.
Is that one of those SW Denny’s where they weigh you before you sit down and order and weigh you when you finish.
Then they charge per pound gained?
I've recognized Dan singing the same old tune year-after-year, but that search result really tells the story.
He has been whining about Prop 13 since 1971.
That search even blew my mind.
Didn't it pass in 1978? I wasn't paying much attention back then -- was there a predecessor movement before it actually succeeded in passing?
You are correct. It passed in 1978.
“A just-completed survey of California voters shows that Proposition 13, Howard Jarvis’ landmark tax limitation measure approved by two-to-one in 1978, has overwhelming support today.”
1971 was when I got my first California property tax bill. Then the increases started coming on a regular basis.
I was responding to the poster that made the above comment. I hear it all the time, people in other states complaining their being flooded with liberals from California.
That's why I said, it's a good thing, the more leaving the better.
I wasn’t a property owner until the 1980s so I never lived through that. I remember a few years back reading articles about how property tax increases in Nevada were forcing retirees from their homes, some very nice lakefront property at Lake Tahoe. With the crazy real estate price increases, it is unimaginable what would have occured in California over the past few decades.
unimaginable had Prop 13 not passed, that is.
Unfortunately, we are not seeing the liberals leave in the last year or so.
A joke for those of us living in the liberal held state of California:
The Best Surgeon In California!:
Three Californian surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed.
One of them said, “I’m the best surgeon in California . In my favorite case, a concert pianist lost several fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England .”
The second surgeon said, “That’s nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident, I reattached them and two years later he won a gold medal in track and field events at the Olympics.”
The third surgeon said, “You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and marijuana and she rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman’s hair and the horse’s ass. I was able to put them together and now she’s Speaker of the House.”
