Interesting. I’ve known about England’s libel laws and libel tourism for a while. It’s old news. But I can’t follow their line that no one knew about the connections between Obama and Rezko.
Half the country didn’t care, and the Obama campaign did a superb job of deflecting interest away from any allegations of impropriety.
“A libel claimant does not have to prove that the words are false or to prove that he has in fact suffered any loss. Damage is presumed.” That is one of the MOST INSANE statements of “law” that I have ever read. TRUTH IS THE ABSOLUTE DEFENSE. I would suggest that all here should stand firm against any intrusion of idiots who profess to believe that quoted statement. God save England!
