“The Workers will own the means of production.”

Now where have I heard that before?

I will never but a Chrysler or any vehicle from a company owned by the UAW.

This defines the phrase “inmates running the asylum.”

Does the UAW think it can run a car company? It is due to get a hard lesson, and that is that they won’t be able to get gold-plated healthcare, pension, and above-market wages and still turn a profit.

Obama is a pure Marxist.

Like Marx, nothing will work and he will have to enforce at gunpoint.

Get ready for the police state with people being carted off.

This is Cuba.

Oh, great. The union workers will own the company and the government will supply the capital. We’ll never have to worry about money (or profits) again.

Marxists usually don’t like employee owned firms. Obama will probably mess up the deal.

It doesn’t matter. Obama will pay all losses with taxpayer dollars.

All that matters is that the stupid and lazy union workers get to control everything, even if it means the destruction of the US economy.

Hard your money. I predict 90% marginal tax rates with two years.

As long as Democrats run Congress, they'll have no intention of turning a profit. Taxpayers will balance out their books.

“Inmates running the asylum”.......sh*t; this used to just be the punchline to a bunch of corny jokes.

I just bought a used one. It is the first american car I have owned in many years. I was hesitant but I really loved the car. I am nervous about it, but I still have my infiniti (10 years old) with 140,000 on it, so I have a backup.

My last american car was a ford windstar. It dropped 2 transmissions in 40,000 miles. I swore off american cars after that, until now. We’ll see.......

UAW running Chrysler guarantees three things:

1. Good cars aren’t going to be built;
2. The “workers committee” can be found in the parking lot with a keg of beer and a bucket of chicken;
3. The “means of production” (company tools) are going home at night with the workers and not returning in the morning.

Based on this Chrysler should just go ahead and file backruptcy now and get it over with...

It actually has happened with airlines. Don’t believe the result is any worse or better than other arrangements.

UAW could double the value of their deal if they held out for a "Cracker Jacks Secret Decodere Ring" along with their Chrysler stock.

Actually, I'd rather have the ring. It's worth more than all the Chrysler stock put together.
