“President Obama’s Health Care Plan Could Require Rationing, Warnings Begin”

Also, the sky is blue.

Of course it will require rationing. The free market requires rationing too. Obama is seeking to replace the normal rationing function of freely fluctuating prices with political considerations. The issue is whether doing so will ration resources as efficiently (it won’t).

“What’s the difference between the American and the Canadian health-care systems?

In the U.S., if your daddy gets sick; you lose the house.

In Canada, if your daddy gets sick; you inherit the house.”

They make jokes like this because their propaganda organs constantly tell them, “Surely, our system may seem slow and unresponsive, but Americans dedicate a whole lot more of their GDP to healthcare, so who’s worse off?” What they don’t tell them is what Americans get in return for paying more. How much more capital, expert labor, and new inventions Americans have to pull from. Or what our life-expectency, standard-of-living, etc. would be without some measure of freedom.

AARP should get on this, but they seem to be an increasingly leftist organization. But it seems virtually everyone over 50 joins AARP and if they really had the concern of their members at heart, they would explain what socialized medicine really is. This is going to pass out of sheer ignorance, Americans have no idea the atrocities that happen in the UK and Canada.

Also, these older people are very fiesty when it comes to politics, and may be quiet much of the time but not when they see they are not going to get their hip replacements and cancer treatment and diabetes medicines, and MRI’s, etc. At the Senior Center here, that is mostly all these people talk about, their health, their upcoming colonoscopy or brain scan or whatever. They do need lots of medical care, even the healthy, independent seniors. I don’t know the demographics, but I also don’t know of any elderly folks that voted for Obama.

Wake up the senior citizens and Obama will go down in defeat on this one.

President Barack Obama and his Congressional allies haven't yet announced a universal health care plan, but warnings are already beginning that it will likely include health care rationing.

High level Democrats exempted of course.

I wouldnt worry about euthanasia.

Those who need Dialysis will just get it cut off. Those elderly who need a by-pass, fuggetaboutit, You need expensive medications? Sorry about that. Nursing care for the elderly? Uh!uh!.

We wont need to use euthanasia, we just cut off the health care spigot.

CAN’T WE JUST SAY NOOOOO???!!!

1. I know no one who is in favor of this at all.
2. I have heard that the administration are going to try to sneak in health care in the reconcilliation process this week—with the budget bill thereby doing a by-pass of regular congressional debate.

I want to OPT OUT OF THIS!! It is not that I don’t think there should be options for the uninsured. I just think this whole thing is just another type of income/asset redistribution to those who don’t produce.

You got that right. Obummer is a ghoul who hates the weak (and especially the whitey!) The elderly are in his diabolical crosshairs, and they will keep voting for him, perhaps even pulling the lever for him while queuing up for the cattle cars.

This is all so surreal!

Watch and note with interest. The gold-plated medical care available to our political elites will not be curtailed. Medical care for the little people will be rationed. They'll spare no expense keeping Senator Kennedy alive, but will deny care to your aging grandmother.

“Could” require rationing?

Is there a “universal health care” system that DOESN’T require rationing?

“The elderly, who the dems have been scaring for 40 years with tales of GOP perfidy, are about to be sent to the cattle cars and quietly and humanely dispatched, courtesy of the Democrat Party. Now truly the Party of Death!”

Yep.

I wonder if AARP will take this nugget of truth to all the retirees they represent? I’m not holding my breath.

OK so let me see if I have it correct as to what he is saying: Cut the elderly health care even though we need to add illegals (excuse me - I’m bad)and WE just had to add 24 year old college kids whose parents only make $80,000.00 via the SCHIPP program and everyone gets an abortion for free. And yes we demoRATS scared the pants off the elderly that republicans were going to take away some of their social security/medicare so dems could get the votes (they were used) and now ah well. Bye bye old folks. Is that what he is saying?

Please read the joke again.

The first part is based on the propaganda; but, the punch line essentially says what you said in your last paragraph.

I almost added an explanatory note to my post: to say that I realize that the first part of the joke is a gross exaggeration. I didn't do that, because -- well, because it's a joke.

I know. The joke says basically the same thing as me. I’m just commenting on where the joke comes from. It’s a big talking point of socialist propaganda to point out that their healthcare is cheaper. What they don’t tell you is our healthcare is worth it.

I’ve heard said that when jokes have to be explained life isn’t worth living. But that doesn’t quite apply when the joke is from another culture.

SORRY THIS IS LATE!
PLEASE hit your PING LISTS!

Urgent Alert!
Act today to stop back-door government health care takeover!
Take Action!

You may have already seen the media reports that the budget is a done deal, and health care reconciliation is included. They are wrong. It is to stop it. Democratic leadership has agreed, but the actual conference report is not written by leadership, but by the specific conferees on the conference committee:

Senate
Kent Conrad (D-N. Dak.)
Patty Murray (D-Wash.)
Judd Gregg (R-N.H.)

House
John Spratt (D-S.C.)
Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.)
Allen Boyd (D-Fla.)
Paul Ryan (R-Wis.)
Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas)

If your senator or representative is on the committee, it is imperative that you send them a message today urging them to keep health care out of reconciliation. They are meeting THIS AFTERNOON, so time is of the essence.//I got this this evening....so move now.// By far the most important two are Kent Conrad and Allen Boyd, Democrats who have been skeptical about using reconciliation.

If you know anyone in North Dakota or Florida's second district (Tallahassee, Panama City) please forward them this urgent email immediately!

Reconciliation is a trick, a procedure designed for deficit reduction being misused to jam through a government takeover of health care with only 20 hours of debate, no amendments, and just 50 votes instead of the usual 60. This trick will silence Republicans and centrist Democrats, and allow a radical leftist plan in which government takes away control of health care from patients and doctors, and rations care by denying it to people judged by bureaucrats to be too old or too sick to justify the cost.
