Carrie Prejean said that her state sponsors urged her to apologize afterward [after telling a judge gay people shouldn't marry] but she rejected the advice and says officials from the Miss California USA pageant were worried that her comments would cost their contest financial backing and tried to prepare her for a string of post-pageant media interviews by discouraging her from discussing her religious beliefs. You need to apologize to the gay community. You need to not talk about your faith. This has everything to do with you representing California and saving the brand, Prejean recalled being told. I was representing California. I was representing the majority of people in California.

Go Carrie!
It's refreshing to see someone as young as her act more like an adult than the childish idiots ruthlessly trashing her.

...and just months ago, didn't the majority of Californians vote for a state Constitutional ammendment banning gay marriage?

Imagine the shoe on the other foot: You need to apologize to the straight community. You need to not talk about your homosexuality. This has everything to do with you representing California and saving the brand.

I agree. I hope that she is able to weather the storm of personal and bitter attacks on her by the gay-rights “brownshirts”.

I have never heard of a beauty pageant ârepresentingâ anyone other then the girl and since voting is by three judges, the hubris of the judges to believe they are judging for the people is simply shocking. Who do they think they are. I blame all this on Donald Trump. He got all his money from his father and like most people that never earned it, allowed others to tell them how to run their company.

“95% of the audience was gay”.
Something very weird about beauty pageants. What’s the attraction for gay guys?

How is that possible when they allow a diseased pervert judge, possessing a sick agenda that only a small minority of the public agree with, to ask leading questions?
The queer was allowed to publicly espouse its religion, why not Miss Prejean?
