From the article:

"Due to the possibility of public concern regarding DOD [Department of Defense] aircraft flying at low levels, coordination with federal, state and local law-enforcement agencies, emergency-operations centers and aviation units has been accomplished," the e-mail said.

But the message never made it past mid-level operatives at City Hall and the NYPD.

"...has been accomplished"???? What does that mean? Obviously, it HADN'T been accomplished. Frankly, I don't find the article pretty informative -- it's actually pretty confusing. Why would such a memo be sent to mid-level operatives instead of guys at the top? And when was it sent? The article doesn't say.

Why is the FAA releasing "cryptic" email memos about what HAS been accomplished instead of what needs to be done, written by a high-ranking FAA official and sent to mid-level guys in city bureaucracies, about a DOD event involving the airplane that belongs to the president of the United States?

If you’re looking for the truth, or a straight answer out of this administration....forget it. I have a number of questions as to why this was done.

The article shows that government agencies were indeed aware of this stunt.
