“I just shot one of my friends yesterday”

My condolences on your loss.

I’ll bet you that delivery time estimate will grow.

Wouldn't doubt it. I've got 500 rounds on order from Sportsman's Guide. Orginal promise was for 1 April, now it's 1 May, and I don't have much hope that will come to pass either. But that's OK, most of the kit for the rifle it's intended for is now promised for 6 July, even though ordered on 28 February.

"I just shot one of my friends yesterday along with my now ultra-expensive-to-shoot SKS and Taurus .38."

I can understand shooting your friend, that happens, but why, oh why, did you shoot the SKS and Taurus.

From the picture, it looks like it!

Just got back from Walmart and they were out of all of the popular calibers (.380, 9mm, .45), but they were also out of .22LR.

Lots of that stuff here ... went to the show in Puyallup, WA ... all you wanted ... my dad bought ten boxes of .45 ... he says anything less than a .45 is too wimpy .... plus we have two 1911A1 Springfield’s and a Marlin campgun that takes those rounds .... I bought ten boxes of 22-250 for my Savage varmint gun and my uncle bought 20 boxes of .30 carbine. The seller had several pallets of stuff plus there were two other ammo dealers there.

I've learned to post in 'DU-speak', so I'll try to answer that question.

There are a bunch of Bush hold-overs in the Justice Department (we wish) that are burying the horrendous uptick in crime statistics because Dick Cheney told them to in order to protect his heavy financial interests in the firearms industry.

Is that crazy enough, or do I need to try again?

How often do they have those shows? I’m up the hill from Puyallup, and would like to go sometime...

They don’t let like just anybody walk in the door, right? Don’t you have to have already passed the background check or something?

I was kinda P’d, because I went to the local sheriffs office thinking I could get my CCW and have all the background stuff done from there. But noooooooo.... Ya gotta go to Tacoma.

I’d rather go to Federal Way than Tacoma, and I’d rather have my eyes bored out with hot needles than go to Federal Way!

Nope, it’s just $8 to get in. However if you want to buy a gun you have to belong to the WAC ... unless the table is a private dealer then it’s ok.

I don’t remember but it was in a yellow/orange box and the initials on it were something like H T C???? It might be HS munitions of Montana.... not sure .... I’m at home in Tacoma and my folks aren’t home to call and check ....

Thnx.

Didn’t think they even let non members in. Also, didn’t know they had private dealers.
I had heard that private dealers sometimes set up shop outside around the parking lots, etc.

Haven’t even been to downtown Puyallup in over a year or so!

I have a couple thousand rnds, so unless the zombie hoards are bigger than usual, I’m pretty much set!

Lol!

Sorry. Didn’t mean to make that crack about Tacoma...

Well, actually, I did, but don’t take it personal!
