NEWARK, N.J. (CBS) ―
Thousands were expected to attend a rally in northern New Jersey on Saturday to push for comprehensive immigration reform.
The "Family Unity" day rally is part of a national effort to end deportations and raids that immigration activists say destroy families.
Among those expected to attend were several federal lawmakers, including U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Rep. Albio Sires, both D-N.J.
A consortium of churches, national and local immigration advocates and individuals have been organizing prayer vigils, town-hall meetings and rallies in 20 U.S. cities.
The New Jersey gathering took place at the Jesus Christ is Savior Church in Elizabeth.
According to the Pew Hispanic Center, there are 11.9 million "unauthorized immigrants" in the United States.
Tell them that the PRESIDENT of Mexico is prohibiting all public gatherings, soccer matches are played to TV cameras, masses are given to empty buildings..until May 6th....after Cinco de Mayo...tell them to wait..the flu bug is goin’ around.
That means about 10% of Mexico is in the US.
Just deport them all... they can make their way back to the states and get back in if they have their ID, right?
This is where they want to bring all their bambinos and wives from their home country to meet all their mistresses and bastard children here, right?
No, no, no. This is racist. We need to allow all Mexicans, especially those with swine flu to enter the country and infect the country. This is a way the US government can cull down some of those older Americans using up the health care system. Good idea to allow these swine flu people in. (sarcasm is on)
Thousands showed up for tea parties, but how many anticipatory news items were there?
There are suppose to be tens of thousands taking to the streets again for their May 1 protests. Nothing like spreading the bug around!
Our borders should be effectively secured immediately. Those Americans who agree should be taking to the streets, in light of what may be an epidemic, to DEMAND they be secured....NOW, IMMEDIATELY.
Not to worry, just so long as at least two thousand actually show up, they can say “thousands”.
NJ has an illegal alien population over 500,000.
And one again there will be no sign of ICE within a 100 mile radius.
Yeah, isn’t is amazing?
Being ILLEGAL is something to parade out in the open and DEMAND reform.
As far as I am concerned, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Rep. Albio Sires, both D-N.J should be deported along with ILLEGALS.
Send em all back!
“The New Jersey gathering took place at the Jesus Christ is Savior Church in Elizabeth.”
Yeah, when police came, if they bothered to come, the ILLEGALS could scurry into the church for safe keeping.
Out of thousands attending the rally, a mere 45 have reported SWINE FLU symptoms.
Meanwhile, several organizers have separated and flown throughout the country to set up more Family Day rallies. No word at this time whether or not they reported symptoms of the minor flu virus prior to getting on planes to spread this vital message.
Right smack in the middle of a worldwide breakout of the MEXICAN INFLUENZA.
Some people are dumber than a bag of hammers.
Another group of appreciative "Willing Workers" expressing their gratitude to Americans for their free education, free medical care, housing assistance, food stamps and all those nice "tax rebates", stimulus checks, and mortgage bailouts to illegal alien non-taxpayers.

They’re busy monitoring sites like this!
Start a rumor that the CDC will be rounding up illegals for testing and deportation. Problem solved.
