Obama Appoints A Muslim With A Troubling Record

Obama Appoints A Muslim With A Troubling Record When a left-wing, Obama adoring publication hails an action by this President of the United States it is always prudent to research the facts.

This week the LA Times, celebrates Obama's appointment of Dalia Mogahed to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Mogahed is a self described expert on studying the way Muslim's think. The left-wing media has dubbed her a Muslim moderate.

The American Daily Review questions these descriptions of Mogahed. It turns out that Mogahed is associated with a group that advocates engaging the very troublesome and radical Muslim Brotherhood.

And in addition, she was involved in a polling project that deliberately sought to sanitize the image of Muslims by distorting the facts of her survey. Perhaps you remember a Gallup survey that supposedly showed that Muslims supposedly have the same attitudes as the rest of America? This survey, conducted by Mogahed, declared that only 7% of Muslims are radical (only 7%!) while the same survey concluded that 36% of Muslims approved the attack on the World Trade Center.

Mogahed and a notorious colleague were exposed by Robert Satloff writing for the Weekly Standard. The respected Mr. Satloff takes a detailed look at the faulty conclusions Mogahed presented to the world, conclusions that are not support by the data she presents.

Satloff's article is informative reading. When it was published in 2008 it caused quite a stir. In other words, the Obama White House knew about this controversy before they appointed Mogahed to her new post. One wonders why they would chose a Muslim with a checkered record rather than someone without controversy. But, then again, one wonders why President Obama announced his support of Muslim Turkey entering the European Union even though our NATO allies oppose this proposition.

Jihad Watch offers more analysis of Mogahed.

Well thats just great, W creates a program to allow faith based organizations to help with charity work and Obama finds a way to bastardize that work.

Because Hussein is "the very troublesome and radical Muslim Brotherhood" US operative.

Hateful and untrue

Lori Goldstein makes a brilliant observation in her March 24 letter (”Columnist Had the Wrong Approach to the Right Conclusion”). She states, “Columnist Jack Kelly is obviously not Jewish.” Here is another news flash: He is not Palestinian, and neither is she. In fact, I would challenge either one of them to name one Palestinian they have spoken to in person. Yet both have taken it upon themselves to speak on behalf of this entire people, accusing them of wanting all Jews dead, such as Mr. Kelly said in the March 17 column “Jews Under Siege.”

Can Jack Kelly say “projection”? The official hatemonger of the Post-Gazette strikes again. How dare he accuse the Palestinian people of wishing harm onto a group because of their religion and ethnicity when his column regularly reeks of ferocious anti-Arab, anti-Muslim sentiment? This practice of accusing others of one’s own crime is of course not new. German Nazis accused Jews of wanting all Aryans dead as an attempt to justify their own bloodthirsty anti-Semitism.

Interestingly, the irony doesn’t stop there. After the recent genocide campaign on the part of the Israeli government, it is the Palestinians who are being accused of wanting “all Jews dead”? Which side is responsible for the brunt of the casualties in the continuing violence? Which side has had soldiers proudly pose for a photograph with dead Palestinians they just murdered? Which side has had tanks rage into refugee camps, waging war on unarmed civilians and vowing to continue until, as Ariel Sharon put it, the Palestinians “beg for mercy”? These are not random acts of violence propagated by renegade terrorists, but actions carried out according to the official policy of the Israeli government. So which side wants the other dead?

Middle East peace begins when Israeli terrorism ends, and when sweeping racist generalizations like Mr. Kelly’s and Ms. Goldstein’s are drowned out by calls for justice and mutual understanding.

I'm sure if she was still alive, she would have been flattered if Obama offered her the position.

Bush supported Turkey's entry into the EU. Insane, but he also had Ramos and Compean prosecuted, did nothing about the border and turned education "reform" over to Ted Kennedy. Bush was the proto-McCain and McCain was the proto-Napolitano.

American politicians are guilty unless proven innocent.
