AXcess News) New York - Congresswoman Mary Fallin (R-OK) said Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is "out of touch with mainstream America" if she believes that returning war veterans and people who believe in the Second Amendment pose a terrorism threat to the nation.
"Like most Oklahomans I was amazed at her statements and actions this week," Fallin said. "First she approved a report that implied members of the armed forces returning from combat would follow in the footsteps of Timothy McVeigh. Then she insulted our friends in Canada by falsely claiming the 9/11 terrorists came from there. Is this really a person that should be speaking on behalf of our nation?"
Napolitano noticeably demonstrates that she is incapable of protecting America from the threat of Islamic terrorism. She must be fired immediately if our country is going to be safe in the coming years, according to MoveForwardAmerica.org, an organization that supports the US military as well as federal, state and local law enforcement officials.
The latest example of her incompetence to serve as the top person at Homeland Security came when she wrongly claimed this week that the 9/11 terrorists came through Canada to launch the attack, even though not one of the radical Muslims traveled through our northern neighbor.
"How could the head of our security be so ignorant?" asks a Move Forward America press statement.
"Her earlier statement this week impugning most American conservatives, like myself, as possible terrorists set off another firestorm of criticism of the DHS Secretary," it said.
Last week, Napolitano released a report saying that returning veterans from Iraq or Afghanistan should be watched as they could become domestic conservative terrorists.
As a result of report, the FBI went so far as to film the recent tea party protests of loyal Americans because of warnings that conservatives could become terrorist threats.
Napolitano approved release of a report last week implying that a variety of groups, including veterans, pro life activists, and supporters of gun rights, could be potential anti-government terrorists. She also said Wednesday that the 9/11 terrorists entered the country from Canada, when in fact they came from overseas.
"With her ignorance about Islamic terrorism, no wonder she is wasting time examining our troops, anti-tax, pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and other conservative groups," states Move Forward America.
"It is clear that Napolitano has no clue about the details of what happened to America on September 11, 2001. And she has offended our brave and selfless troops who have protected us since that infamous day of attacks on America's homeland. Her outlook and priorities are exactly backward and plainly dangerous.
"Napolitano is unfit to serve as secretary of Homeland Security and President Obama must fire her before she causes more damage to our country."
The non-profit organization points to Napolitano's claim that the Canadian border is a sieve for terrorists entering America, ignoring the fact that she ignored illegal immigration coming into Arizona while she was Governor. When Napolitano declared a "state of emergency," she deployed 54 National Guardsmen.
"I've seen more National Guard troops deployed for a snowstorm," said political consultant Mike Baker.
When asked if she was referring to the 9-11 terrorists coming into the US from Canada, Napolitano added: "Not just those but others as well."
Napolitano's latest gaffe irritated Canada's leaders, who reminded her that none of the 9/11 terrorists who destroyed the Twin Towers and hit the Pentagon came through Canada.
"Unfortunately, misconceptions arise on something as fundamental as where the 9-11 terrorists came from," said Michael Wilson, Canada's ambassador in Washington.
"As the 9-11 commission reported in 2004, all of the 9-11 terrorists arrived in the United States from outside North America. They flew to major U.S. airports. They entered the U.S. with documents issued by the United States government and no 9-11 terrorists came from Canada."
"We don't think it is that hard to tell the difference from our neighbors in Canada and Islamic terrorists. But what could you expect from someone who thinks that returning troops from Iraq and Afghanistan are a great threat to America. How utterly outrageous!" said the Move America Forward press statement.

We all are aware of why she was put there; but she needs to do the job.
We all need to flood DC with emails and letter and DEMAND she be fired. She puts us in serious danger.
If we can keep them a bit off balance then , hopefully, we can delay the action of their plans until we can vote Biggie O out. JMO
I think she should stay where she is. After all, she didn’t write the memo. This stuff comes from the top (Rahm and Soros). She’s just the guy with diarhhea of the mouth that is showing their hand.
She proved to us that our suspicions about this administration are not just paranoid delusions. She’s like a VC leader that comes into a village and says, “In two days, I’m coming back with troops and killing all of you.” Anyone that doesn’t heed that kind of warning deserves what they get.
As far as protecting America goes, I think we all know that the purpose of Homeland Security in the Obamanation is not to defend against external terrorism. They consider the people at Tea parties to be a much greater threat to the Reich. I prefer to keep an idiot at the top of DHS for as long as possible.

Yep. I don’t know why some people are waiting for her to get fired. It’s not as if her seeing us as a threat is different from her boss’ viewpoint. Were she to get fired, it would merely be for appearance.

Just because she is “doing her job” for the democrat/Obama party - does not mean we ignore her.
She must go - we are unsafe with such a woman in control of our Homeland Security. She doesn’t even know where terrorists came from.
Get her out. The least Obama can do is “try” to protect his countrymen to a small degree. Taking on 50% of the countrymen and calling them possible terrorists is a mite ignorant to say the least.

DHS will be the US version of the KGB. When Bush created it, I was scared because I knew that one day the Dems would control it. I was just saying that I’d rather have an idiot that can’t keep her mouth shut in charge of the KGB than someone that is effective.
I too am worried about a coup, but I realize that it has already happened. The Marxists took over without a shot fired by educating the children, infiltrating the bureaucracy, and making enough people dependent on the government. Most churches even toe the party line on social issues these days.
ACORN and the courts will make sure that fair elections are impossible, as long as the government can maintain the ratio of producers to looters at about 1:1. That is their primary goal!

When you think about it, most of the DHS RWE memo is true anyway, as long as you use the liberal definition of Right Wing Extremist. I went down their list and I’m 100% a RWE according to them, including the veteran part.
I’m quite proud to be a RWE. I was a RWE when Clinton was in the WH. I was a RWE under Bush and I complained about his socialist programs. I would have been a RWE if McCain had been elected too. No one is more committed to opposing “The One” than me, but I’m keeping my eye on the big picture and ignoring the sideshow events like Napolitano.
I still think that she did us a favor by putting us on notice that We The People are now the enemy of the government, while foreign terrorists are no longer considered a threat.
Our son just recently completed 4 years in the Army. The experience made him more level headed and mature than I would have imagined. His former HS classmates are either just getting out of college or still hanging around at home. Their brains are more full of mush than they were 4 years ago.

You are misinterpreting my comments if you believe I mean caving. By all means, she must go, 100% political crucifixion. My belief is that it is a big mistake to think that by itself changes anything. If we can't make it widely known that her actions are merely the wishes of those at the top, we aren't accomplishing much. They will still continue without so much as a pause. These people are coming after us and it's going to take more than her resignation to stop them.

Fair question. Well, for one thing, waiting for the 2012 election is going to be too late. We will not overcome the level of voter fraud that is going to be institutionalized by that time. Very few of us realize how seriously and methodically the Dems are preparing to steal the national elections in 2010 and 2012. They are not giving up power. After that a coup may be the only option (won't happen, most Americans are bought and paid for), though IMO some states seceding would be a good thing, which is unlikely.
What I do believe is that unless the (elected) Republicans become very, very aggressive politically and seriously gum up the works in the legislature, large scale civil disobedience will be necessary to change the current course of events. And I have 0% faith/hope that our so called Senators will do squat. Can you see Mitch McConnell (aka No Onions) leading a shut down of the Senate?
I pretty much agree with you, except for this point.
I may be giving them too much credit, or I may be in need of a tin foil hat, but I suspect this whole thing had some level of premeditation and orchestration. Rahm et al are using this as a sort of trial balloon to gauge the reaction of the people. Do they go forward at full speed now, or do they back off publicly and do it more subtly and incrementally? They are testing the waters.
That's why I believe we should nail this slime to the wall, but also understand that this alone will not fundamentally change the plans of these people.
