Just remember that cap and trade is a CO2 tax pure and simple. It will be the biggest gas (fuel) tax we've seen, it will be the biggest coal tax, it will prevent new coal plants being opened and will cause some to have to shut down. It means your electric bill will double and the cost to transport goods, fly on airplanes, fill up your car etc will become very expensive and all this money will go to Washington DC.

"Nobody in this country realizes that cap-and-trade is a tax -- and it's a great big one," Well, yes. Unless we are going to go 100% nuclear, which I wish we would, it is a tax and its going to be paid by ordinary rate payers, which is to say, ordinary Americans.
And it has the additional attraction of being another form of money laundering, and the beneficiaries will be the oligarchs in suits. For them its a money machine.

“Nobody in this country realizes That Cap-and-Trade is a Tax???”
I certainly do, and a Commie power grab. They fully intend to destroy the U.S.
Actions have consequences, this will eventually play out, and it will not be pretty.

"Nobody in this country realizes that cap-and-trade is a tax -- and it's a great big one Pretty much explainS how 0bama got elected - just superimpose cap-and-trade with 0bama & TAX with SOCIALISM and you begin to understand the gravity of the problem at hand.
The people have no clue WHO they voted for or what he really is.
If DingelL can come to this conclusion in less than 100 days then I'd have to say even Kindergartners can as well.

As usual politicians trying to cover up and hide the truth. We really need to clean out our elected officials. They are worthless.

Technically, “cap and trade” does not have to involve a tax. The government could simply set the cap & distribute the emission credits without charge. These credits would then be traded amongst producers.
The Obama version involves a huge tax grab; because the government would charge for the emission credits. It doesn't have to be that way — but, the tax grab is obviously what Obama really wants.

Cap and trade will never pass. Too many dem congressmen and senators have to face their electorate next year.

If we really believed that carbon was a problem, and if we really wanted to do something about it, the answer is to build more nukes. And then build more nukes.
