Reports: Tedisco concession coming soon; Murphy leads by 401

Two news organizations, RollCall and Capital News 9, are reporting that Republican Jim Tedisco has "abandoned hope" of winning the special election and "could conceded to Democrat Scott Murphy as soon as Friday afternoon."

According to the latest official tally, Scott Murphy leads by 401 votes. He's held an advantage for nearly two weeks, which has grown steadily during the recanvassing.

You are looking at the 2010 elections in microcosm. This is what will happen in every electoral district where democrats hold even a slim majority. I fear that the days of legitimate elections are pretty much over in this country. Either one side establishes a dictatorship or there will be wiggle room for a civil war. The fact is our country is irreparably split and it does not appear that we can avoid the inevitable civil war. I am reminded that Allende in Chile did the same over reach, unfortunately we have no Pinochet to save us.
