Manfred Nowak, the U.N. special rapporteur on torture, holds press conference...
VIENNA (AP) - The U.S. is obligated by a United Nations convention to prosecute Bush administration lawyers who allegedly drafted policies that approved the use of harsh interrogation tactics against terrorism suspects, the U.N.'s top anti-torture envoy said Friday.
Earlier this week, President Barack Obama left the door open to prosecuting Bush administration officials who devised the legal authority for gruesome terror-suspect interrogations. He had previously absolved CIA officers from prosecution.

The UN is irrelevant.
This is an act of war by the UN to demand prosecution of specifically targeted political adversaries.
Dear UN,
When you numbnuts prosecute the terrorists that killed 3,000 of my fellow citizens on 9/11/01, I’ll consider your position.
Til then, FU and the horse you rode in on.

After we throw Hussein in jail for treason in 2012 our immediate next task should be to throw the UN out of the US.
Another straw on the collective camels backs.
Get the UN out of the US and vise-versa
You may sign my name to that letter also.
Hey Manfred. Eff you.
Irrevelent pos.
F them and their boss Soros.
The cheering section for our policy of enemy appeasement.
Hey UN.....Proscecute your child molestors, your Rapist, and give back your money you stole on the Oil for food.
Prosecute Ahdemejadie also.
Bush is in Texas....send your UN troops for him...PLEASE !
they waterboarded 3 terrorists and it saved untold numbers of lives. I think its a great trade.
My sentiments, exactly.
Whatever happened to the UN peacekeepers that were raping women and children in Sudan?
But the TOTUS serves their every whim. This is not good. Obama has Soro’s and now the U.N. pressuring him. Like... he does not enjoy DOING NOTHING but campaigning and playing partisan politics, while further inflicting his radical marxist ideals.
the liberal call it “gruesome” hahahah. I have heard of more gruesome fraturnity pranks!!! I saw no limbs removed, or whippings, nothing gruesome here.
liberal liers.
I pray the UN building comes crashing down with all them self rightoues politicans in it. this is an act of war.
Prosecuting lawyers has a nice ring to it. However, I would suggest prosecuting the lawyers from the Civil Rights Division of the Bush Justice Department, who refused to stop ACORN's vote fraud in the 2008 election.
After that, I would suggest prosecuting the members of the communist National Lawyers Guild, followed by those at the ACLU.
Then we can go after the malpractice lawyers, who are also intent on destroying America.
Actually, at the golden moment, there is the “Bush Nuke”, which basically blasts the Obama Administration into the corner, without any hope of gathering support.
When enough has been laid out to harm the Bush appointees...then Bush simply stands up and says that he supported and approved all of the measures. As part of Executive Privelage...which apparently none of these lawyers have ever surveyed....there is this Truman moment where he suggested that he would do the same thing as a retired president...and suddenly right-wing fantatical folks....McCarthy and company....suddenly shut up on prosecuting the Truman administration.
It is believed that each president upon retirement....has some powers left to him as President...and whatever decisions were made...basically cannot be prosecuted unless you want to play the impeachment game. This was brought out in January and discussed on several forums.
So Obama can run the next three weeks of “maybe this or maybe that” but in the end...he will do nothing to prosecute any of the Bush administration. If he does...Bush nukes the entire process, and the current administration suddenly goes into war mode with the old administration...except this time...we’ll suddenly find numerous senate members who really don’t want this dragged out into 2010 election season.
