Chris Simcox, the co-founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps in Arizona announced Wednesday he is stepping down from his position with the Minutemen to challenge Sen. John McCain in the 2010 Republican primary.
In an earlier blog post, we asked who you would be more likely to vote for. As of 11 p.m. April 23, roughly 58 percent of the 36 respondents said they would vote for Chris Simcox over John McCain.
Do you agree? You can still take our poll.

RINO versus grifter. I'd hope the Arizona GOP can do better than that.
Oh, and I defended Simcox's fence project, but he never came through with anything remotely resembling a clean audit. We have enough crooks in DC already.

Poll results aren’t scientific. Percentages may not add up to 100 percent due to rounding off.

Do you defend his anti-amnesty/CIR (including, yet another, guestworker) position too?

Doesnt look good for McCain....
He will need a lot of money from George Soros, La Raza, Mexican Drug Cartels, US Chamber of Communists, MS-13...etc....to win this primary.
Simcox is way better than McCain, even with the problems they had raising money with the border fence. I guess we will have the RINOs who prefer Soros/Drug Cartel/La Raza candidates

Do you defend his anti-amnesty/CIR (including, yet another, guestworker) position too?Like I said, the AZ GOP can do better. We have enough grifters in DC already. I don't care if Simcox otherwise walks on political water, he's a damn swindler. And beyond that, you know McCain will use the fence fiasco mercilessly in a primary campaign.

I’m no fan of McCain, but if Simcox wins the primary, count on another U.S. Senate seat for the Dems.

There’s gotta be a willing citizen-politician in that state. One that isn’t a low-grade grifter, playing on the legitimate concerns of a citizenry.

And Simcox will use the drug cartel kidnappings against McCain against him and his pro-illegal/anti-American agenda
McCain RINOs can bring up the border fence problems....Simcox brings up McCain’s George Soros money....
McCain is not originally from Arizona, either. This “carpetbagging” reference is lame for AZ....sounds more like RINO justification

I have a hard time understanding why so many otherwise level-headed Freepers are rationalizing Simcox’s grifting. We need a better grade of politican. We accomplish nothing if we just seek to replace one pinhead with our our own flavor of crook.

Not so sure about that....not with the illegal alien and drug cartel problems in Mexico City...er Phoenix.
The Dems are not a lock for that Senate seat...esp if the drug cartel violence escalates
