Representatives for Republican Assemblyman James Tedisco and Democrat Scott Murphy are at the State Board of Elections in Albany on Thursday, reviewing contested absentee ballots in the race for the 20th Congressional District.
Members from each county board of election in the district have come to the Steuben Street offices, along with attorneys for Tedisco and Murphy. There are about 1,150 absentee ballots still left uncounted in all, but Thursday's count only involved about 200 or so.
Political figures from both the left and right speculate that Tedisco does not have a chance to overcome what is a fairly substantial lead for Murphy in the ever-changing vote tally.
Tedisco attorney James Walsh responded to this speculation, telling NEWS10, "I don't think we're at that point. I think that if you looked at this exceedingly tight election, I think that there's still enough absentee ballots outstanding that can more than make up the difference here."

“because our military personnel wasn’t given enough time to return their votes.”
Of course they weren’t. The liberals HATE our military. They’re pulling the same thing in New York that they did in Virginia during the general election.
How DISGRACEFUL!!!!!
We should not be quiet about this. Call a talk show in the 20th district even if you’re not from New York State. Tell them you read about this, if you wish.
“Under New York law, absentee ballots in this race had to be postmarked by March 30, the day before the March 31 election, and received by April 7. That left most military voters only 25 days to receive, mark and return their absentee ballots, which everyone agrees isnt enough time, given overseas mail delays.
The Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, which is responsible for enforcing the federal statute that guarantees the right of overseas citizens and military personnel to vote by absentee ballot, contacted the New York State Board of Elections and requested that they issue their ballots sooner for this race. The two Republican members of the board voted to support this request. Yet the two Democratic members of the board, shamefully enough, voted against doing so. Were they trying to disenfranchise military voters?”

“Theyre pulling the same thing in New York that they did in Virginia during the general election.”
And Florida, and I think PA, and probably many that I haven’t even heard of, and they keep getting away with it, probably because there is little publicity, which is why I wrote a letter to the editor and called a talk show in the 20th district, but more patriots have to do this than just me.
fyi
In this “Republican” district, Obama has a 72% favorable rating last I heard.
And Dem Kirsten Gillibrand won by a very strong margin in the last congresscritter race.
So actually this dead heat race is something the Dems should be uncomfortable about, although they will never admit it.
