Apparently the irony was lost on Meredith . . .
Interviewing Blago this morning, Meredith Vieira, co-anchor of NBCs Today show, twice suggested to Rod Blagojevich that the former Illinois governor would have demeaned himself to appear on a reality show . . . on NBC. The two talked after a judge turned down the indicted Blagos request to travel to Costa Rica to be a member of the cast of Im A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here!

I'm not a reality show watcher but Costa Rica??? Now if a show with that name featured Venezuela, Bolivia, Iran or Burma, I might be impressed but Costa Rica ??
Good point: Costa Rica isn’t exactly hell on earth. Eco-tourists pay thousands to visit the jungles there. Then again, I suppose the producers could make things pretty uncomfortable for contestants if they want to.
